During the recent wildfires in L.A., Anjelica Huston shared with People magazine that Jack Nicholson unexpectedly reached out to her, offering his home as a refuge. Unfortunately, Huston had to flee her mountain ranch in the Sierra Nevadas due to the fires. Huston and Nicholson have a history of an on-again, off-again relationship from 1973 to 1990.

Out of the blue, my phone rang, and it was none other than Jack Nicholson during those chaotic wildfire days,” I reminisced. “It’s a soothing balm to hear his voice… It was a bittersweet symphony. Huston explained to People that various circumstances have made it challenging for him to visit. For one, there’s been constant construction and detours near his house, causing long travel times. This has consistently left him running late, which is frustrating for both parties.
