Jack Doherty ‘begs’ for donations on TikTok following McLaren crash

As a long-time follower of Jack Doherty‘s content, I must admit that his recent return to TikTok Live after the car crash incident has left me both puzzled and disheartened. It seems like the same old story – reckless behavior, controversy, and an unapologetic attitude.

After the contentious car accident, it’s back to regular programming for streamer Jack Doherty, as he resumes his TikTok live sessions. However, there’s quite a stir on various social media platforms over this matter.

Since October 5, 2024, Jack Doherty has faced criticism due to an accident involving his McLaren, which occurred during a live stream while he was texting and driving in poor weather conditions. After this incident, the divisive online personality received a suspension from Kick for “risky behavior.

During those following days, Adin Ross, one of Kick’s co-owners, made it clear that the ban imposed on Doherty would remain indefinitely unless he settled a debt of $300,000 with him. Meanwhile, other popular content creators such as xQc, Nadeshot, and NICKMERCS publicly criticized Doherty for his irresponsible driving habits.

Although Jack Doherty didn’t address any criticisms publicly, he resumed his TikTok LIVE streams with no Kick account available. During the stream, Doherty focused on soliciting gifts and likes, leaving many social media users in awe.

Currently, Jack Doherty is live on TikTok, asking for presents, following an accident with his McLaren that led to a ban on the racing platform KICK. (Crying face emoji)

In response to a query about his McLaren accident, Doherty provided his account of the incident. “I aquaplaned,” he clarified, adding, “Given that it was pouring rain and I was driving a McLaren, what else could have happened? Haven’t you all ever driven a McLaren before?

In the aftermath of the collision, the streamer failed to discuss or bring up the topic of texting behind the wheel during that moment, nor did they disclose the exact speed at which the car was moving at the time of the accident.

During the live broadcast, people in a discussion thread on platform X, who watched a video clip, were bewildered. “It’s crazy to donate money to a kid who drives numerous luxury cars,” one person said. “Those who are giving gifts shouldn’t even have the chance to talk,” another responded.

Others criticized Doherty for suggesting that people should compensate him for his error. Although the footage from the content creator during the collision appears to incriminate him, it’s important to mention that no formal legal proceedings have been initiated yet.

Indeed, it’s not a new occurrence; Doherty has faced disapproval on previous occasions due to his actions. In the past, he found himself in legal trouble when his security guard was sued over an assault case. Additionally, he garnered criticism for organizing what was essentially a ‘fight club’, where a man ended up knocking a woman unconscious.
