Over the course of two years, Jack Black has taken on leading roles in three movies based on video games: The Super Mario Bros. Movie, Borderlands, and most recently A Minecraft Movie. As his latest video game movie prepares for its debut, Black shared that he’s been quite fond of a mobile game called Balatro in his downtime. However, he’s encountering some challenges with the game and could benefit from some advice.
Similar to many of us, Black found it challenging to pronounce the name Balatro when conversing with Xbox UK. He additionally mentioned that he employs his iPhone to play this game, yet has only managed to unlock the initial deck in an attempt to acquire the blue one. Moreover, Black expressed some irritation concerning the way the game handles randomness.
Black expressed frustration, stating, “It really irks me that so much of it appears to be chance,” he said. “Regardless of how skilled you are, you still need those specific cards to unlock.” He then gazed into the camera and requested, “Could you possibly offer some advice?

After Balatro became a part of Game Pass towards the end of February, players might be able to aid Black by sharing advice for him online. Prior to joining Game Pass, Balatro was among the most successful indie games from last year and was even listed as one of TopMob’s top games in 2024.
In theaters starting April 4th, Black’s upcoming production titled “A Minecraft Film” has been described by TopMob as “precisely what one might expect, be it favorably or unfavorably.
