As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of experience under my belt, I must admit that I’ve seen my fair share of glitches and workarounds in games. However, the one shared by seishinrosu in his YouTube video about the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion for Elden Ring is a new level of intrigue!

FromSoftware’s games are renowned for their steep learning curves, which might deter newcomers from diving into the Souls series. However, Elden Ring is often suggested as a suitable introduction to the genre. On the other hand, the latest expansion, Shadow of the Erdtree, has been tagged as particularly demanding by fans of these games, with some attributing this difficulty to intense encounters with formidable bosses.

If you’ve personally experienced the expansion for Elden Ring and faced challenges against the final boss of that expansion, or perhaps you were reluctant to fight him, scouring the Shadow of the Erdtree for all possible upgrades, then you might find a specific glitch intriguing. This glitch allows you to completely bypass the battle with the DLC’s final boss.

NOTE: SPOILERS

As a long-time fan of FromSoftware games, I have eagerly awaited the release of the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion for Elden Ring. Having spent countless hours exploring and battling my way through their previous titles like Dark Souls and Sekiro, I can confidently say that the lore and gameplay in these games have become a significant part of my life experience.

Shadow of the Erdtree – how to avoid a fight with the final boss?

A YouTube user named seishinrosu published a short video in which he presented an unusual bug in Shadow of the Erdtree. The player admitted that he came across it by accident while playing with friends, so he decided to recreate it and check if it would work the second time as well. It turns out that after meeting the appropriate requirements, the final main boss of the Elden Ring expansion, Promised Consort Radahn, will die before we enter his arena.

To bypass the boss encounter, it’s suggested that you gather two more individuals for the same session, though the author isn’t certain if a different number would work. Before engaging with Radahn, ensure you complete Leda’s narrative arc, as she is instrumental in introducing players to the DLC. Even if you’re unfamiliar with her plot, you’ll recognize her. After completing Leda’s questline, regardless of earlier decisions, you will confront her. However, be aware that defeating Leda with three players might cause a bug related to Radahn.

It seems that every player needs to fight and overcome the NPC in battle as an extra condition. Once you’ve done this and make your way to the arena where you confront the Promised Consort, a message will appear on your screen if the boss has already been defeated beforehand. This message signals that the fog serving as the battlefield entrance will vanish, allowing you to collect the usual loot you would receive for defeating him.

Will the bug be removed?

It should be mentioned that the player who published a video on YouTube presenting a way to skip the final fight in Shadow of the Erdtree was playing on Xbox (he didn’t specify which one). It’s possible that this method may simply not work on other platforms.

As a seasoned gamer with years of experience under my belt, I have come to appreciate the intricacies and challenges that FromSoftware studios bring to the table. However, in my recent playthrough of their latest game, I encountered a bug that has made it impossible for me to progress past a certain point – the final boss battle.
