IShowSpeed’s Manager Shuts Down Rumors: No Payment for China Streams!

In his latest update, IShowSpeed’s camera operator and content supervisor has spoken out about allegations suggesting that the popular streamer is receiving payment to broadcast from China during his current tour.

For the past year, IShowSpeed has consistently traded his bedroom and personal comfort for live tour broadcasts. He’s had opportunities to interact with fans from almost every continent like Europe, South America, and Southeast Asia, and these live streams have garnered enormous viewer attendance.

On his latest tour, Speed has been whisked away to China. He’s embarked on a journey across the nation, commencing in Beijing where he performed an acrobatic flip at the iconic Great Wall, and continuing with his customary mischief-making.

The popular YouTube personality, @ishowspeedsuii, has been recognized by the Chinese government for traveling to their country. The Chinese Embassy tweeted that “@ishowspeedsuii’s journey in #China has sparked significant global interest, reflecting a growing trend of digital influencers helping to close cultural divides and offering new avenues for international audiences to appreciate China’s vitality.

IShowSpeed cameraman says Speed will lose money for China streams

Subsequently, allegations emerged on social platforms suggesting that Speed was compensated by the Chinese government for his presence. Yet, his camera operator, Slipz, has refuted these claims.

Fact: The amount of money IShowspeed has received from the Chinese Government is zero dollars. Here’s the information for reference. However, it’s important to note that he is currently in China on his personal funds, which may result in a financial loss for him.

Slipz commented that Speed’s team has attempted to engage sponsors, but “it’s not the norm to include it in a contract, as they say, ‘lol.'” (Informal laughter)

I’m representing ourselves within the IShowspeed group. The individual we’re referring to is currently in China, covering expenses personally, which may result in a financial loss for him.

When asked about why the YouTuber might be spending money instead of making it through live streams, he explained that expenses aren’t limited to just him.

Day after day, this man was traveling with a group of six, enjoying first-class accommodations and five-star hotels,” the cameraman went on. “By the end of 2024, the amount he had spent on travel was an astounding sum that I’m sure no one here could have anticipated or guessed.

He further clarified that when he mentioned “net loss,” he was specifically referring to income from streaming compared to travel expenses. YTY speed, however, does not experience a net loss during tours due to factors such as influence, overall growth, and long-term benefits. Most of the time on tour itself, YTY speed either breaks even or incurs costs.

Speed currently has planned extensive tours ahead, such as an extended trip to Africa, and further performances in Peru and Poland.
