YouTube star IShowSpeed’s latest KFC stream ended in disaster after the streamer was swatted.
On May 5th, streamer IShowSpeed found himself needing to clarify his identity to law enforcement officers, as they surrounded him at a KFC restaurant.
Following their reunion at the fast-food restaurant, the streamer headed into a hair salon, only to be suddenly met with the sounds of approaching emergency vehicles.
A large number of law enforcement officials gathered in the vicinity, apprehending several individuals indoors as well. In response, IShowSpeed decided to lend a hand.

Cops confused as IShowSpeed explains who he is after swatting
While biding time to discuss with the authorities, IShowSpeed shared with his audience that occurrences such as this make him reluctant about live streaming in real life.
“I get swatted every time I do sh*t in America,” he said.
In due course, Speed conversed with the law enforcement officers, demonstrating his live stream, and clarified that he was a well-known streamer who was merely enjoying a meal.

According to the authorities, there was a report of an individual leaping onto a counter and brandishing a firearm. However, upon investigation, it was found that Speed indeed hopped up onto the counter (which is his usual behavior during meals, especially when savoring delicious chicken), but he did not have a weapon on him.
“Why were you on the counter?” an officer asked.
Speed responded, adding to the officer’s bewilderment since the streamer’s act wasn’t common, saying ‘It was because the food tasted great.’

A short while passed, and Speed managed to depart. However, it’s crucial to note that such incidents known as “swatting” can be incredibly hazardous because tragic instances have occurred where individuals have lost their lives due to hoax emergency calls to the authorities.
In March, the FBI vowed to take stronger action against swatting incidents, which had become a recurring issue involving attacks against popular social media personalities.
On previous occasions, Speed has encountered situations similar to being swatted. In fact, back in the year 2022, while streaming live, police officers arrived at his residence and handcuffed him.
