For several years now, IShowSpeed has significantly incorporated football, also known as soccer, into his live streams. He not only admires Cristiano Ronaldo deeply, but also frequently reviews game highlights, engages in conversations with professional athletes, and enjoys playing EA FC.
Apart from regular appearances, he’s also taken part in numerous charity games, and he is slated to serve as captain for the YouTube All-Star team in the 2025 Sidemen Charity Event.
The honor was conferred upon him during his turbulent stint on the CBS Sports’ Champions League Golazo program, where he ultimately had the opportunity to engage with Jamie Carragher.
Speed’s real name mocked by Jamie Carragher
Earlier, a Liverpool defender expressed curiosity about why Speed gained such popularity. He wondered if Speed ever ran in a straight line during his appearances on the field.
Indeed, Carragher carried on teasing Speed during their show appearance, using his genuine name, Darren Watkins, which brought about a round of laughter from the entire team as well.

IShowSpeed rips pants on CBS Sports
As a gamer, I’ve got to say, I showcased my lightning speed when I outran the analyst in that 40-meter dash! Even when Carragher tried to hold me back, I managed to power through and cross the finish line victorious.
Nevertheless, upon reaching the finish line, Speed disclosed that he had torn his trousers from his suit quite extensively, leaving a large gap visible on camera for all to witness.

At the conclusion of his performance, he performed a backflip from the studio’s table, likely adding a bit more wear to his attire as well.
If Speed happens to travel to London soon, there’s a chance he could return to the show. This is quite different from the incident on March 4th when CBS security declined him.
