IShowSpeed offered $2m for “quick little cameo” in DDG video

The popular streaming personality IShowSpeed was presented with an offer of $2 million from DDG for a brief appearance in his upcoming music video, instead of distributing YouTube memberships as gifts.

Over the past few years, IShowSpeed has ascended to become one of the most prominent streamers online. Known as Darren Watkins, he’s been connecting with celebrities during his travels and even attended the annual Ballon d’Or ceremony, where the world’s best football player is honored.

Since he’s gained popularity, Speed has the leverage to ask for substantial payment for his streaming appearances. Lately, his visit to China sparked discussions about endorsing the nation. However, contrary to speculation, his manager clarified that he may not even cover his costs with such an endorsement deal.

Yet, he’s recently received a proposition that promises substantial earnings in just a short while, and this opportunity arises from streaming sensation DDG.

DDG offers Speed $2m for music video cameo

The thought arose during DDG’s live stream on April 29th. During this session, both the streamer and musician expressed a desire for Speed to participate in their upcoming music video.

What’s your rate, Speed? I understand that YouTube doesn’t have subscribers, but it has members. You mentioned a figure of approximately $2 million for this project, with the shoot taking around three hours. That means you won’t need to work for more than an hour at most.

“Quick little cameo, it’ll take 40 minutes of your time. You let me know, bro.”

Some enthusiasts have proposed that receiving a $2 million payment for appearing in a video sounds “extravagant,” and they speculate that Speed would agree to participate without charge, if approached personally.

The YouTube content creator recently concluded their stay in the United Kingdom during April. During this time, they collaborated with KSI on several YouTube videos and also participated in the Baller League event.

He’s given word that he will organize a streaming tour across Africa, along with another trip to Peru, by the end of this year.
