As someone who has been following the rollercoaster ride of Hollywood for quite some time now, I must say that the news about Isabel May joining “Scream 7” as Neve Campbell’s daughter is nothing short of thrilling! Having seen her exceptional performance in “1883” and “1923,” I have no doubt she will bring a fresh and captivating energy to the franchise. The fact that Kevin Williamson, the creator himself, is directing this installment makes it even more intriguing.

In the upcoming “Scream 7” movie, Isabel May will portray the role of Neve Campbell’s character, Sidney Prescott’s daughter, as EbMaster has reported.

In the upcoming “Scream 7,” actress May, renowned for playing Elsa Dutton in the “Yellowstone” prequels “1883” and “1923,” will share screen time with returning horror franchise star Campbell. The directorial role is taken by Kevin Williamson, the creator and writer of “Scream.” Guy Busick, who penned the scripts for the fifth and sixth “Scream” films, is responsible for writing this latest installment’s script.

The long-awaited release of ‘Scream 7’ is set for February 27, 2026, following numerous hurdles such as production delays, creative revisions, and actor changes. In 2023, Melissa Barrera, who played key roles in the preceding films, was dismissed from the sequel due to controversial remarks about the Israel-Hamas conflict on her social media. Jenna Ortega, who previously acted alongside Barrera, had to withdraw from the seventh installment because of scheduling conflicts with Season 2 of Netflix’s ‘Wednesday.’ Additionally, Christopher Landon, director of ‘Happy Death Day,’ departed the project in December 2023, describing it as a dream job that turned sour. The production was further delayed due to last year’s SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes.

Spyglass Media is in charge of producing the movie, and Paramount Pictures will handle its distribution. James Vanderbilt, William Sherak, and Paul Neinstein from Project X Entertainment are taking on the role of producers, while Radio Silence has been appointed as executive producers.

Apart from appearing in “1883” and “1923,” May also starred as Katie Cooper on the Netflix comedy series “Alexa & Katie.” She is represented by Creative Artists Agency (CAA) and Principal Entertainment.
