Fans of relaxing games have a new option to enjoy. While Stardew Valley remains a standout in the genre, there’s still space for fresh ideas beyond typical farming and town life. Adding magical elements, like in the upcoming Haunted Chocolatier, is a great way to do that. Little Witch in the Woods offers a delightful pixel-art world with spells, exploration, and plenty to do. Currently, it’s only available on PC and Xbox, so players on other consoles will have to wait and see when it might be released on their platforms.
Little Witch in the Woods Switch and PlayStation consoles release date explained
I’ve been following *Little Witch in the Woods* since it first came out in Early Access back in May 2022, and I was really hoping the full release on September 15, 2025 would mean it’d finally come to PlayStation or Nintendo Switch. Unfortunately, there’s still no news about that. I’ve been searching everywhere – the official Sunny Side Up Discord, their X (formerly Twitter) account, and even Steam – but I haven’t found a single hint that it’s happening. It’s a bit disappointing!
The developers have shared a plan for the game’s future, outlining small updates for the rest of this year, larger updates in 2026, and a free downloadable content pack. However, there’s no word yet about versions for Nintendo Switch or PlayStation. While the game is already available on Xbox and works with controllers, suggesting other platforms are possible, we’ll need official confirmation from the developers before knowing for sure.
If you’re hoping to play *Little Witch in the Woods* on a handheld device, the Steam Deck is currently your best option. However, keep in mind that the game isn’t officially verified – it’s listed as simply “Playable.”
