Gladly, Season 3, Episode 7 served up quite a mind-bending revelation for one of us gamers… but it’s left another massive mystery in its wake instead!

The Way Home Season 3 Episode 7 finally revealed a clue about Casey’s identity

In the end, it was revealed in The Way Home Season 3 Episode 7 that Casey’s background is quite extraordinary – she hails from the future. However, an intriguing mystery persists: Is she related to the Goodwins, the Landrys, or perhaps someone else entirely?

Let’s take a step back for a moment. Due to Casey revealing they are a Goodwin and the chronological links to the name Cassandra, Alice now believes that Casey is actually from the future. In the most recent episode, it was discovered that Casey had previously sought legal advice from Sam, although the motive behind this encounter remains confidential due to attorney-client privilege.

After stumbling upon a coffee mug and an old burner phone hidden away in the attic, it became clear that my long-lost cousin Casey had been secretly residing there all along. You see, I always thought Lewis was my father, but he’s actually my second cousin. The summer of 2024 had been tough for us both, and finding a sense of belonging proved challenging.

However, during the internship, the environment felt like a real family, offering me a much-needed sense of camaraderie. As time went by, Lewis reconsidered his stance on the property, ultimately deciding to seek legal assistance from our mutual friend Sam.

The Way Home Season 3 Episode 5 is based on a shocking true story

Later on, when Alice approaches the pond, she encounters Casey, who mentions they recall another piece of information they wanted to share with Kat. Here’s the interesting twist – Alice inquires about the ring resembling an engagement ring that Casey is wearing around their neck. Notably, it looks identical to the one currently owned by Kat that Alice possesses.

Casey states, “That’s a ring from my family.” Alice inquires, “Is it a Goodwin family ring?” Casey responds negatively. As he mysteriously submerges into the pond, it seems they hail from the future. Yet, one wonders if the engagement ring could be an antique belonging to the Landry clan.

Additionally, if Casey did push Alice into the pond during Episode 1 (which remains unanswered), it strongly hints at something: Casey might not be the straightforward Goodwin we thought he was.

To date, there are three plausible scenarios: Casey could be Alice’s offspring, Jacob’s, or potentially Kat and Elliot’s future child. Time will tell if any of these possibilities prove accurate… here’s hoping we discover the truth in the Season 3 conclusion.
