As a long-time follower of both Ironmouse and Kai Cenat, I’ve been thrilled to witness this friendly rivalry unfold on Twitch. It’s not every day that we see such sportsmanship displayed between two record-breaking streamers.
On September 30th, virtual streamer ‘Ironmouse’ broke records by achieving the highest number of subscriptions on Twitch, surpassing the earlier mark set by fellow streamer Kai Cenat.
In the midst of the flood of congratulatory messages and jubilant celebrations following her record-breaking subathon, Cenat’s supporters couldn’t help but wonder what his reaction would be to this exciting news.
As a gamer, I always make it a point to show respect where it’s due. When it comes to that exceptional Vtuber, I never fail to acknowledge her top-tier creativity and talent. She truly deserves all the accolades.
He announced his praise for Ironmouse, who surpassed his record: “I’d like to acknowledge her achievement,” he stated. “Let’s give it up, let’s give it up. However, keep in mind that I had made a pledge to my followers if this record was broken. So, we’ll have to wait and see what unfolds in the time to come.
Kai remains resolute in reclaiming his leading position, and it’s been more than a week since then, when Ironmouse finally responded to his proposed aim.
In an October 10 interview with Rolling Stone, the Vtuber expressed that records are made to be surpassed. He finds it wonderful and astonishing if he returns to break it, as progress is key. It’s inspiring for his fanbase; it’s uplifting for the streaming community in general.
“I did this with the goal of supporting the Immune Deficiency Foundation financially, as well as providing an enjoyable experience for my community. So, let’s keep pushing forward, aiming even higher.
Even though Kai enthusiastically welcomed Ironmouse, she faced criticism from some of her fan base, as they disagreed with a Vtuber surpassing one of Twitch’s top broadcasters, including, at first, Kick streamer Adin Ross, who seemed conflicted about the entire situation.
In response to the criticism directed towards her, Ironmouse stated that she is an optimistic individual and prefers not to focus on negative remarks or hurtful comments.
She remarked, “Many streamers were incredibly supportive, which was truly heartening. Despite some negativity from specific sources, creators have generally been extraordinarily kind towards me, showing great warmth. It’s inevitable to find people on the internet who may not comprehend what you’re doing and simply won’t grasp it. That’s perfectly fine.
“The essence of my statement is this: Be consistently kind and remember that others might not always comprehend things as easily. If you find yourself needing to speak up, simply suggest, ‘Consider donating plasma.’
