After last week’s amazing episode, you’ll be hoping to watch Invincible Season 3 Episode 9 – but there’s a simple reason why that will never happen.
In episode 8, titled “Invincible,” I found myself on the edge of my seat! Invincible squared off against Conquest, an intense battle that had me gripping the armrests. Atom Eve, a character I’ve grown fond of, met an unexpected end only to astoundingly resurrect herself. The Sequids, beings I thought were extinct, were discovered to be living underground! And to top it all off, Damien Darkblood, a character I never imagined would return, made his comeback – quite a departure from the source material. What an episode! I can’t wait to see what happens next!
If you’ve read Robert Kirkman’s source material, you’ll know the series is just getting started. No spoilers, but let’s just say its biggest and bloodiest events have yet to come – like the arrival of Thragg.
Perhaps you’re wondering about what happened to Conquest and why Mark’s garments seemed to be dissolving – but you won’t find any solutions in Invincible during this current episode.
Is there an Invincible Season 3 Episode 9?
No, there isn’t an Episode 9 of Invincible Season 3… because the third season ended with Episode 8.
Each installment of Invincible up until now consists of eight episodes, making this development less unexpected. Yet, considering that the latest season ends on a suspenseful note with Darkblood planning to summon someone from Hell, it’s not hard to understand why viewers are eager to find out what transpires next.
Here’s the good news: Invincible Season 4 is expected to release in early 2026, if the show’s schedule goes to plan.
“I’ll say vaguely the same timeline. I don’t know the quarter or month. That’s something that the team at Amazon strategically figures out what’s the best way to drop the show,” Kirkman explained to Variety.
“The team at Skybound is getting a ton of support from Amazon. The fact that they’re approving seasons the way they are and have been letting us work ahead is the reason that we’re able to get the show out.
“I’m very thankful for everything that they’ve done, and they’re pretty good at picking release windows, so we’ll see. The goal is to continue the cadence that we’ve had with Seasons 2 and 3. The plan is that you will see Season 4 in 2026.”
