As a seasoned gamer with decades of experience under my belt, I’ve seen it all – from glitches to bugs, but nothing quite compares to the current state of EA FC 25 on PC. The market is being systematically ruined by a small group of players who seem to have discovered the fountain of in-game coins.
It appears that the EA FC 25 market is being unfairly influenced due to some PC gamers exploiting cheats to amass coins, thereby making it difficult for honest players to acquire top-tier stars. After discussing with market insiders and delving into Discord communities, Nathan Warby, our expert on EA FC at TopMob, has uncovered more about this sneaky tactic.
When you’re using Electronic Arts FIFA 25 on your computer, you might have observed that the Ultimate Team market varies significantly from the unified PlayStation and Xbox market. Less-skilled player cards are valued only a small fraction of their console equivalents, whereas meta cards are scarcely found.
Example: Kylian Mbappe, especially the improved versions, are scarcely available on PC, not even when you search as high as his maximum coin value. This scarcity is mainly due to hackers exploiting the system to amass enormous quantities of in-game coins, which in turn significantly affects the worth of every card in the game.
Jake_FutTrading, a seasoned trader, shared with me his concerns about players exploiting cheats. According to him, these players manage to bag the top FUT Champions rewards in just a short span of time on numerous temporary accounts. This tactic seems to net them approximately 400,000 coins per account, which they later move back to their primary account.
It seems that the PC hacking community discovered a highly effective technique this weekend, as it’s evident from the surge in high-priced sales and numerous individuals claiming to have secured over 10 to even 20 first places! Shockingly, a single person managed to grab an astounding 20 Rank 1 spots. 😱😱

As a dedicated player, I can’t help but notice that this mechanic triggers an enormous surge in pricing for the premier cards in our game, with many of them reaching or exceeding the million mark. This price drop on other cards makes having a decent team achievable, yet crafting an exceptional team remains a daunting challenge.
In our conversation, fellow FIFA Ultimate Team trader ‘Charlie Tropi’ elucidated to me how a massive surge of coins into just a few accounts has been influencing market prices dramatically.
In simpler terms, it’s like continuously adding an endless amount of coins to the market. This isn’t normal, and since it’s happening, the market is being influenced. In essence, there’s a greater supply of coins entering the market than there is demand from the smaller group of users who are participating.
According to many traders, it’s widely believed that dishonest practices could be a significant factor behind this problem, however, pinpointing evidence for this theory can be challenging. In an effort to delve deeper into the matter, I decided to join the Discord server of a renowned hack distributor for further investigation.
Besides revealing clear references to the method known as FUT (Fifa Ultimate Team) Champs trick, which players employ to accumulate coins across various accounts, it further disclosed details about the ways they manipulate the game system to gain an edge.
Among the frequently cited shortcuts, there was an option to tweak the power levels and vulnerabilities of specific game features, which are often referred to as ‘adjustable settings’ or simply ‘slider modifications.’
“One hacker advised improving shot accuracy by lowering the error to just 1. He also suggested boosting shot power to around 60, but he thought anything stronger might be too apparent.” This modification should maintain the original meaning while making it more natural and easy to read.
They added: “Trying to find the balance myself of giving my opponent normal settings but me having a clear edge.”
Additionally, there were frequent references to a move where an opponent was immediately kicked out of the game. This tactic allowed for an easy victory as all that was required was scoring a single goal to gain the lead, followed by disconnecting the adversary from the match.
This statement implies that they manage to complete numerous games swiftly due to their ability to manipulate sliders to shift the game’s outcome quickly, thus avoiding the need to play through all 20-plus minutes.
From observing discussions in this Discord server, it seems that hackers have been employing these tactics on numerous accounts to repeatedly win FUT Champions. This tactic appears to involve creating a new account and taking advantage of EA Play Pro, a service that grants you access to EA FC 25 without additional cost.
After all games are completed and they’ve amassed a significant number of coins on their temporary account, they will move those coins back to their primary Ultimate Team account. This goes against the rules of the game mode, but since EA has mechanisms to detect more obvious violations, this is primarily done by listing a player on the main profile and then purchasing that player at an inflated price using one of the temporary accounts.
It’s clear that the earnings can fluctuate depending on who the players are, but I saw someone boasting about earning two million coins within just a weekend, and it’s not the first time for them.
It appears that hackers and their unlawful activities are significantly impacting the FIFA 25 Ultimate Team market on PC, despite factors like a smaller player base possibly playing a role as well.
We’re already seeing this take effect just over a month after EA FC 25’s launch, and traders have painted a bleak picture if it’s allowed to continue for much longer.
Typically, the PC market becomes more unpredictable as the player base decreases during the game’s lifecycle, according to Tropi. But if EA doesn’t act swiftly, it seems we’re in for a chaotic situation much sooner than expected.
Jake concurred: “If Electronic Arts (EA) fails to halt the hackers, it’ll become challenging to assemble your genuine ‘Ultimate Team’ swiftly. Premium cards would be out of reach for the average player unless they purchase coins, which is a violation of the Terms of Service.
