Introducing Iron Hulk: Marvel’s Latest Preschool Superhero on Disney+

Marvel Studios recently debuted a new adaptation of the Hulk character, this time as “Iron Hulk” named Amadeus Cho, on their streaming platform Disney+, within an episode of “Meet Iron Man and His Phenomenal Peers“.

The latest Disney Jr. preschool series focuses on three brilliant young characters: Tony Stark (Iron Man), Riri Williams (Ironheart), and Amadeus Cho (Iron Hulk). Together, they wear their Iron Suits and collaborate to solve challenges. Although Tony Stark and Riri Williams are well-known in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Amadeus Cho is making his TV debut. While he has been introduced before in episodes and the short series, his most significant role so far has been in the episode “Meet Iron Hulk,” where we get to see his abilities and what his suit can accomplish.

Amadeus Cho, a brilliant teenage Korean American prodigy, is comparable in intellect to Tony Stark and is among the sharpest minds on Earth. For his Disney Jr. series streaming on Disney+, he dons an armor modeled after Hulk with elements reminiscent of Stark’s design, including purple shorts akin to Bruce Banner. This show not only introduces us to this character but also highlights how he utilizes technology alongside the raw power of the Hulk.

In the given episode, instead of effortlessly saving a cat trapped in a tree himself, Tony Stark (Iron Man) opted to reach out to his animal-friendly companion, Amadeus Cho, for assistance.

As soon as Cho appears, spectators are afforded a superior view than ever before of his Iron Hulk armor, before he contemplates how to save the trapped cat.

With his powerful flight capabilities and strength, Iron Hulk (Cho) finds a solution to assist, successfully reuniting the lost kitten with its owner. Before departing, he demonstrates his signature move, the “Iron Clap,” accompanied by his favorite exclamation, “‘Completely amazing!’“.

Back in 2005, I, Amadeus Cho, first graced the pages of comic books in the second volume of Amazing Fantasy, issue #15. Fast forward to 2015, and I found myself stepping into the mighty shoes of Bruce Banner as the new Hulk, taking over in The Totally Awesome Hulk, issue #1. Just like Jennifer Walters, aka She-Hulk (is she coming back for Avengers: Doomsday?), I manage to hold onto my unique personality and intellect. You can often find me starring in Avengers-centric or Hulk/Hercules-focused books.

In the vein of Marvel’s “Iron Man and His Amazing Comrades” portrayal of Iron Hulk, the comic book version of Cho dons a metallic green body armor adorned with vibrant purple trimmings, complete with a matching headgear.

This animated show, titled “Meet Iron Man and his Fantastic Companions“, features Mason Blomberg portraying Tony Stark aka Iron Man, Kapri Ladd as Riri Williams aka Ironheart, and Aidyn Ahn as Amadeus Cho aka Iron Hulk. Fresh episodes of this series can be streamed on Disney Jr. and also on Disney+.

Is Iron Hulk Now Coming to the MCU?

Although Iron Hulk is currently featured exclusively in the Disney+/Disney Jr. show “Meet Iron Man and His Amazing Pals“, it raises the query if Marvel Studios has any future plans for this green, metallic character beyond being confined to a preschool series.

As a dedicated Marvel fan, I can’t help but express my excitement about the recent developments. Ironheart on Disney+ has strong connections to Stark, and interestingly, Red Hulk was featured in Captain America: Brave New World in February. This isn’t just a coincidence; there have been rumors for years about potential Hulk-focused projects and storylines within the MCU, which could pave the way for Amadeus Cho to step into live action for the first time.

Moreover, it’s important to mention that Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk is said to reappear in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, but he might not be the same Hulk fans have grown accustomed to. It’s an intriguing prospect, and I can’t wait to see how these developments unfold!

It seems quite plausible that Marvel Studios has additional tales to spin involving Hulks and characters with gamma abilities, and Amadeus Cho/Iron Hulk might well be in the running for these roles.
