Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet Gets Its First Bits Of New Info From Neil Druckmann

In a conversation between creators, Neil Druckmann of Naughty Dog shared additional story insights about “Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet,” during a talk with Alex Garland, the director of “Civil War.

At The Game Awards 2024, the creators responsible for Uncharted and The Last of Us unveiled a fresh sci-fi title called Intergalactic, aimed at launching a new series. In this trailer, we got a glimpse into Intergalactic’s storyline, where it centers around a bounty hunter who finds himself entangled on the faraway planet of Sempiria. Prior to season 2 of The Last of Us television series, Neil Druckmann, one of the creators, sat down with film director Alex Garland on Sony’s Creators to Creators podcast. Toward the end of their chat, Druckmann shared additional details about the universe Intergalactic is based on and Naughty Dog’s objectives for the project.

As an avid fan, I’d like to share that Druckmann emphasizes Intergalactic as a journey exploring themes of faith and religion, unfolding around 2000 years from now in a world distinct from our own, which forked off in the 1980s. He unveils that Naughty Dog has meticulously crafted 2000 years of history for the religion of Sempiria, which, isolated from galactic communication for the past 600 years before the game begins, leaves us feeling adrift and bewildered in a land where its people and past remain enigmatic.

As an eager fan, I can share that the captivating masterpiece, “Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet,” is currently being crafted for the PS5. However, Neil Druckmann, the visionary from Naughty Dog, has been honest about the project’s progress, admitting there’s still a journey ahead before it reaches our screens. So, while I desperately yearn to dive into this cosmic epic, it seems we might have to wait a bit longer for its unveiling.
