Following this pattern, their latest venture – the Relics Expedition – has been unveiled, marking its 18th iteration of these side missions. As expected, it offers a host of intriguing rewards, but don’t forget to gear up for some tough objectives. Are you ready to dive in? Let’s figure out how we can embark on this adventure together!

Traditional way of starting Relics Expedition 18 in NMS

Kick-off for the fresh expedition follows a straightforward approach, but bear in mind that you won’t be able to draw upon resources from the primary account during this journey.

  1. Pick Play or Join Friends when launching the game.
  2. Now, from the save list, choose the New Game option.
  3. Finally, look for the Community Expedition window. It is in the lower right corner of the screen. There is a Relics Expedition 18 banner – click it.
  4. The adventure should begin.

New Way of Starting Relics Expedition 18 in NMS

Recently, the team at Hello Games has introduced an additional method for players to embark on Expeditions. This new approach allows you to incorporate some of your primary game’s inventory items and equipment into your journey.

  1. Launch your main game and go to the Anomaly.
  2. Now, visit Expedition Terminus.
  3. Next, choose your loadout (these items will be available in the Relics Expedition).
  4. Now, you will be able to access your items during the Expedition. However, keep in mind that you will have to pay for them. Moreover, you do not have access to them from the beginning. You need to reach Anomaly once again to collect them.
