‘Inside Out’ Disney+ Series ‘Dream Productions’ Unveiled by Pixar

As a lifelong fan of Pixar and Disney, I must say that Pete Docter’s latest creation, “Inside Out: Dream Productions,” has me absolutely giddy with excitement! With the first film being one of my all-time favorites, it’s simply thrilling to see where this captivating story will take us next.

At the D23 event, Disney and Pixar unveiled a sneak peek of the initial trailer for their forthcoming “Inside Out” TV show titled “Dream Productions.”

At D23 in Anaheim, Pixar’s Pete Docter expressed gratitude for ‘Inside Out 2’ becoming the top-grossing animated film ever made. He then excitedly announced some fantastic news for those who adore the movie as much as they do.

In 2025, Dr. Doctor (not a typo) will introduce an extraordinary series, titled as an “in-betweenerquel” since it bridges the gap between the initial and second movie installments. The narrative unfolds within a studio where Riley’s dreams materialize each night, ensuring both on-time and on-budget productions. Due to the need for additional processing, certain memories are dispatched to Dream Productions, and when Riley dozes off, we get a behind-the-scenes look at the dream-making process, much like observing a movie set.

As a huge fan, I can’t help but share exciting news about an upcoming series from Pixar Animation Studios, led by the brilliant mind of Docter, their Chief Creative Officer. In a recent chat with Entertainment Weekly, he hinted at its arrival and mentioned that the production has been completed: “We’ve wrapped up,” he shared. He didn’t specify an exact release date yet, but he did mention that it will be unveiled next spring. I can hardly wait!

“In the initial movie, recall when we visited Dream Productions to understand how Riley’s dreams were created? It offers a partial explanation for their peculiar nature. We’ve further delved into the impact of dreams on our daily lives and their power. Therefore, it’s quite fascinating.”

The follow-up to the highly praised “Inside Out,” titled “Inside Out 2,” outperformed “Frozen 2” by becoming the highest-earning animated movie ever, raking in an impressive total of $1.5 billion at worldwide box offices.

The movie, with a production cost of $200 million, revitalized Pixar’s struggling box office performance, and has now surpassed Marvel’s “The Avengers” in earnings. It is now among the top 10 highest-grossing films globally of all time.

Approximately a decade since the first one, “Inside Out 2” delves back into the mind of the teenage Riley, where her long-standing emotions – Joy (Amy Poehler), Sadness (Phyllis Smith), Disgust (Liz Lapira), Fear (Tony Hale) and Anger (Lewis Black) – are still in control. During her summer camp adventure, a fresh wave of feelings such as Anxiety (Maya Hawke), Envy (Ayo Edebiri), Embarrassment (Paul Walter Hauser), Nostalgia (June Squibb) emerge and introduce a fair amount of turbulence.
