On March 5th, 2025, Innersloth shared their latest Developer Blog update. They announced that the 2022 version of Among Us will no longer be supported as of this announcement date. Players are instructed to look at the top left of the main menu; if they see “v2022”, they must immediately upgrade to version “v2024.11.26” to continue enjoying the game and making accusations!

In essence, it’s important for most or all versions of the game (regardless of platform) to receive an update, hence players should update their copy of the game. However, if they can’t upgrade to the 2024 version, they can file a support ticket and follow the subsequent process. As an alternative solution, they could hold off until the release of Among Us 3D, though its launch date is currently unknown. A demo for this potential update was recently made available on PC through Steam during the Steam Next Fest.

Additionally, Innersloth has disclosed their intention to phase out the 2023 game versions eventually; however, they are not quite ready for this transition just yet, and they will give advance notice to the players beforehand. To facilitate further development of Among Us, it’s beneficial for Crewmates on similar versions to collaborate, as stated by the developer in conclusion.
