Initial System Requirements for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Are Identical to Modern Warfare 3. 16 Maps at Launch

As a seasoned gamer with decades of gaming under my belt, I can’t help but feel a mix of excitement and trepidation regarding Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. The open beta starting tomorrow has me itching to get back into the fray, but the system requirements feeling oddly familiar to last year’s Modern Warfare 3 leaves me with a sense of deja vu.

Starting tomorrow, selected individuals who pre-ordered Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 for PC, PS4, PS5, XOne or XSX/S, and also PC/Xbox Game Pass subscribers (except Core version), will gain early access to the open beta. The rest must wait until September 6th. If you intend to participate in the beta, make sure to review the system requirements for PC on the game’s official website.

It’s worth mentioning that these appear to be very similar to last year’s Modern Warfare 3. This suggests that they might have been released as preliminary versions, possibly for a beta test, and could undergo changes in the future. Consequently, it’s advisable to approach these specifications with some skepticism.

New information about multiplayer mode

From the “Call of Duty Next” live stream, we’ve gained additional insights into the multiplayer aspect of Black Ops 6. Notably, we found out that at its launch, it will feature a total of 16 maps to play on. Initially, 12 maps will be accessible for the standard 6 vs. 6 gameplay, while the remaining 4 are referred to as “Strike” maps. Interestingly, 8 out of these 16 maps will be available during the open beta testing phase.

A fresh gameplay option titled “Kill Order” is set to debut, merging elements of Slayer and Objective Mode. In this mode, both teams will be tasked with protecting a valuable objective while simultaneously attempting to eradicate the enemy’s objective. Successfully completing this mission awards extra points, and points can also be earned through standard eliminations.

As a gamer, I can’t help but point out some exciting updates! The movement feels smoother now, and it seems they’ve sped up the entry into ranked matches. Plus, the good old Jet Gun is back in the zombie mode – definitely a blast from the past!
