As a dedicated fan, I must admit that I was quite disappointed with Infinity Nikki‘s recent seasonal update, especially since it launched alongside their free-to-play game on Steam. The changes have sparked quite a backlash among the community, leading the developers to issue an apology and offer reparations in the form of in-game currency.
In their report, Eurogamer mentioned that upon its release on April 29, “Bubble Season” version 1.5 came with several glitches and problems. It appears players encountered difficulties such as the game freezing or failing to start up entirely, along with challenges in multiplayer interactions.
5 Version’s content received criticism from players, who argued that the developer was implementing more aggressive monetization strategies and altering parts of Nikki’s story for selling new costumes. This questionable update coincided with Infinity Nikki’s Steam launch, resulting in a majority of negative reviews on the platform due to players expressing their discontent about the game’s development direction.
In a lengthy community update on Reddit, the developers of Infinity Nikki, Infold Games, expressed their sincere apologies for the problems that have arisen, providing details about these issues, their proposed solutions, and the reimbursements players can expect.

The original lack of thorough testing before release caused unforeseen problems in the live game, leading to an unsteady gaming atmosphere and disappointing content. We understand that this is our fault, and rectifying these issues is a key focus for our team as we move ahead.
According to Infold, they plan to expand the existing version instead of launching Version 1.6 immediately. This decision allows their development team additional time to tackle the current challenges, thereby pushing back the release date of Version 1.6. Consequently, Bubble Season and the events tied to Version 1.5 have been prolonged until June 12.
As a gamer, I can share with you some insights about the game I’m playing, Infinity Nikki. Regarding the changes in the game’s storyline, let me clarify something. The Threads of Reunion storyline missing from the current version wasn’t meant to be a permanent exclusion from the main narrative. The outfit associated with this story element is still very much on our developers’ roadmap, which means it’s still part of their plans for future updates. So, keep an eye out for more developments in the world of Infinity Nikki!
In gacha games, it’s usual to provide in-game money as a form of reimbursement for any problems that arise. Starting from June 5th till the 12th, players can claim 120 Diamonds and one Energy Crystal daily, which amounts to 960 Diamonds and eight Energy Crystals in total. Additionally, players will be given 360 Starlit Crystals as a form of compensation for the delayed Starlit Pursuit feature, scheduled for release in Version 1.6.
