Terry-do Games announced that they will unveil the PC version of “Karate Rogue” through Steam. Although the studio hasn’t set a specific launch date for this indie roguelike RPG, their press release indicates that it might be launched in Fall 2025 or beyond.
In this game, the player assumes the role of a karate master who was exiled to a dungeon. The gameplay features an action system that allows the player to execute various attacks simultaneously using ACT points, or adopt defensive and counter-attack postures to dodge attacks from the attacking monsters.
The Japanese press release further discloses the main team members responsible for this independent game. Heading the team is Eito Terry, known for his narrative contributions to various Square Enix games such as those in the Karate Baka in Another World series, which has also been adapted into a manga titled Karate Master Isekai. The monsters in the game are being crafted by Ginoya, who previously handled graphics for several Square Enix titles like Romancing SaGa Re;Universe, Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius, and the Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster Series. Simultaneously, Tomoaki Oga is working on the game’s soundtrack, a composer who contributed to the music in the Generation VII Pokemon entries Sun & Moon and Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon.
