As a researcher who has been following the Pi Network since its inception, I can’t help but feel a mix of anticipation and apprehension as we approach the anticipated mainnet launch. The recent maintenance on PiBridge’s withdrawal portal is just one small step in this grand journey, albeit an important one that ensures smooth service for users.
TL;DR
- PiBridge scheduled a maintenance on its Pi withdrawal portal.
- The Pi Network team recently emphasized completing additional steps beyond KYC for mainnet migration, urging users to act within the Grace period to avoid losing access to their tokens.
‘Ensuring the Best User Experience’
PiBridge, a decentralized finance platform linking Pi Network to other blockchains, has announced that they will be performing maintenance on their Pi withdrawal portal. The team aims to improve the service’s quality and provide the best possible user experience through this effort.
During the upcoming maintenance on November 26, you won’t be able to make Pi withdrawals temporarily. However, rest assured that we aim to finish this process swiftly and will inform you promptly once the portal is back online.
True to our word, the project didn’t persist for too long. Just about an hour earlier, the team announced that they had finished their work, enabling users to continue withdrawals and utilize all platform functionalities once more.
I want to express my gratitude for your understanding and consistent backing throughout. Rest assured, we continue to strive for excellence in providing an outstanding experience for our community,” said PiBridge.
Recent Pi Network Developments
The contentious mobile-based cryptocurrency initiative, designed to let users mine digital assets straight from their phones, is currently one of the most debated topics in this field. This project has been active for more than five years now, and it boasts a massive community numbering in millions.
However, those are still waiting for the official launch of Pi Network’s native token and its open mainnet. Earlier this year, the team indicated that those milestones could be reached once all users pass necessary Know-Your-Customer (KYC) procedures. Initially, people had until September 30 to complete verifications, while later, the deadline was extended to November 30.
The developers indicated that the Open Network will become operational when approximately 15 million users have completed their Know Your Customer (KYC) verification. Interestingly, Pi News recently disclosed that only 1 million people are currently required to meet this goal.
Lately, Pi Network has released crucial guidelines for migrating to mainnet. It’s important to note that verifying your account is merely a part of the entire process. Users are advised to establish their wallet, endorse the token confirmation agreement, and complete other necessary tasks listed in the checklist.
The team advised that you can finish these tasks prior to Know Your Customer (KYC) process, there’s no need to delay. It is recommended to finalize the migration within the specified timeframe. If this is not done, your Pi might be deemed inactive and unusable.
In the meantime, the community anticipates December, as this is when the Pi Core Team is expected to share further information about the open mainnet roadmap, enabling official Pi token transactions.
We have yet to see if everything will go as promised or if there will be another delay.
