Imagine Entertainment’s Head of TV Kristen Zolner Exits Company (EXCLUSIVE)

Kristen Zolner is no longer working at Imagine Entertainment, the role she held as head of television since 2022, has come to an end.

As per sources familiar with the matter, Zolner has departed from Imagine during a wider process of restructuring. The departure is reportedly friendly, and no replacement is planned for Zolner’s position.

Zolner took over from Samie Kim Falvey as head of Imagine’s television division, with Falvey leaving the company towards the end of 2021. During her tenure at Imagine, Zolner managed projects such as reviving “The ‘Burbs” for Peacock, starring Keke Palmer, and “Friday Night Lights,” a scripted series about magicians Siegfried & Roy on Apple TV+. Additionally, she worked on the Netflix Mexico series “The Gringo Hunters.”

Following almost a decade at Netflix, where she held the position of Director for Original Series, Alina Zolner transitioned to Imagine. While at Netflix, she contributed significantly to various popular shows such as “Emily in Paris,” “Dead to Me,” “Big Mouth,” “Master of None,” and “Survival of the Thickest.” Additionally, Zolner played a key role in launching the first 25 original standup specials on Netflix’s platform.

Besides his role at Zolner, he had previously worked in executive development at Amazon and held positions within Scot Armstrong’s American Work and HBO as well.

At Imagine Television, Natalie Berkus and Max Greenspan continue in their positions as senior vice presidents. Natalie was promoted to this role in 2023, while Max joined the company recently this year. They are now tasked with sharing the responsibilities that were previously held by Zolner within the TV division.

In October 2024, it was announced that Yolanda Cochran had joined Jax Media, a subsidiary of Imagine Entertainment, as their head of production. In this position, she is responsible for managing sales, strategy, and implementation of Jax Media’s production services. Additionally, she provides production assistance and advisory services to Imagine Entertainment’s scripted departments.
