Diane Warren didn’t let her Oscar losing streak get in the way of having some fun Sunday night.

Although she didn’t win the gold statue for best original song for “Journey” from Netflix’s “The Six Triple Eight”, the accomplished songwriter was still present at the Vanity Fair party in Beverly Hills. This loss, her 16th time being overlooked for an Academy Award, came as “El Mal” from “Emilia Pérez” took home the prize on Sunday.

Warren remarked on the Vanity Fair red carpet in Beverly Hills, ‘I’m quite reliable.’ She added, ‘Just remember, that’s how it is. I’m delighted to be present.’

At the Oscars, Warren’s attire bore the words “Make It Happen” prominently displayed within the lining of her jacket collar.

She stated, “I’m like the unstoppable Oscar winner – expect to see me again! This is reminiscent of Arnold Schwarzenegger’s tone. I’ll return, and there’s no escaping that fact.

Warren intends to resume her work on Monday morning. “This setback won’t hold me back…I believed I had a shot this time. Things didn’t turn out as planned, but I’m not giving up.

Warren was honored with an honorary Oscar, presented by Cher, at the Governors Awards in 2022.

Warren additionally shared her displeasure as the Oscar organizers decided against including performances of the nominated best original songs during the event on Sunday. She commented, “It would’ve been delightful to listen to those tunes.

As a passionate movie buff, I had the opportunity to chat with H.E.R. over the weekend, and she shared her disappointment about missing out on performing “Journey” from the soundtrack of “The Six Triple Eight” at this year’s Oscars ceremony. She expressed that she was genuinely looking forward to the chance to showcase the song but unfortunately, it didn’t happen as planned.

H.E.R expressed a sense of contentment, albeit slightly unusual, while walking the carpet at the Chanel and Charles Finch pre-Oscars dinner held at the Polo Lounge inside the Beverly Hills Hotel. She said, ‘Even though it’s a bit disappointing because I eagerly anticipate performing, the song will continue to thrive regardless of whether we perform it on the Oscar stage or not.’ She added, ‘I was a little let down, as I cherish those performances, but it’s all good. The show is still going to be fantastic, I believe.’
