As a seasoned gamer with a penchant for immersive storytelling and a soft spot for villainess characters, I must say that “I’ll Become a Villainess Who Goes Down in History” has caught my attention like no other. The unique blend of dark magic, sharp-tongued heroines, and the unexpected twist of being an otome game character is a recipe for an engaging anime experience.
This anime is titled “I’ll Become a Notable Villainess” and it originates from a light novel penned by Izumi Okido with illustrations by Jyun Hayase. After the success of the light novel, it was further developed into a manga, beautifully illustrated by Akari Hoshi, which started publication on the B’s Log Comic website by Enterbrain in May 2020.
Not long ago, it was revealed that the manga was going to be turned into an anime. Now, we can finally witness this transformation unfold on our screens. The debut episode of “I’ll Become a Villainess Who Goes Down in History” is now streaming on Crunchyroll, with fresh episodes premiering every Thursday.
