If You’re Afraid Of The Ocean, This New Horror Game Is A Nightmare

Prepare to plunge into a fresh terror, by closing your mouth and pinching your nostrils shut, as you immerse yourself in the upcoming horror-adventure game, Dark Mass, which will be available on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5 following its debut at the Future Game Show.

Much like the 2021 French horror film The Deep House, Dark Mass shares a similar underwater setting. In this game, players assume the character of Alice, a deep-sea explorer who, along with her brother Reed, stumbles upon the remnants of an antiquated ship while submerged in the ocean. What makes the story chilling is not just the shipwreck, but rather a manor shrouded in mystery and buried beneath it that serves as the focus of the terrifying tale.

In this game, underwater physics are employed to impact player movement and further complicate a distressing scenario for the sibling characters. The gameplay involves solving challenges and making decisions, all set against the backdrop of being chased by a mysterious force in the deep sea.

The game titled “Dark Mass” is the second production from Path Games, preceded by this year’s “Insomnis,” which has garnered favorable reviews with a “Very Positive” rating on Steam. As of now, there’s no scheduled launch date for Dark Mass.
