„I Don’t Like Violence.” Nicolas Cage Declared That He Won’t Play A Serial Killer Again

As a huge fan of Nicolas Cage‘s acting prowess, I can’t help but be intrigued by his recent declaration that we may have seen the last of him in the role of a serial killer. With a career spanning over three decades and numerous iconic performances under his belt, including that of Count Dracula himself, it’s no surprise that Cage is no stranger to on-screen violence. But it’s refreshing to hear that he’s not interested in revisiting these dark roles.

After portraying Count Dracula and other violent characters on screen numerous times, Nicolas Cage has announced he won’t take on murderer roles once more. This decision comes following his role in the horror production “Longlegs,” where he depicts a serial killer being investigated by an FBI agent.

In an interview with The New Yorker, Cage expressed his dislike for portraying violent characters and stated that he would likely decline such roles, even if they were similar, as he prefers not to inflict pain on others, be it real or imagined through acting.

After the release of “Longlegs,” I’m expecting a flood of calls for me to take on serial killer roles. However, this isn’t my preference as I dislike portraying violence and hurtful characters.

If Nicolas Cage remains firm in his decision, “Longlegs” could be his final portrayal of a serial killer in films. Thus, it’s advisable to check out this production, now showing in theaters, as it is generating positive buzz from critics and audiences. Moreover, with an impressive 87% approval rating from critics on Rotten Tomatoes and 64% from viewers, it appears to be a promising watch.

The actor, Cage, has upcoming roles in two different projects. He will portray a new version of Spider-Man in Amazon’s TV series called “Noir.” Furthermore, he is also set to appear in “The Carpenter’s Son.” Clearly, Cage shows no signs of slowing down and continues to take on new projects that are sure to be exciting.
