I Cried During Jurassic World Rebirth And I’m Not Ashamed To Admit It

*Cue the Jurassic Park theme song* Now this…is Jurassic Park.

To put it another way, the latest release is called “Jurassic World Rebirth,” but the essence remains the same. When I heard about the new film not too long ago, I must admit I was unsure how they could continue making these movies since it seemed like every type of Jurassic Park movie had already been made. However, here we are with “Jurassic World Rebirth” being released, and surprisingly, it’s quite good.

While I wouldn’t compare it to the timeless masterpiece that Steven Spielberg created, I must admit that I enjoyed this film more than the initial Jurassic World, and definitely more than its following sequels. Surprisingly, this movie stands out as one of the highlights on the 2025 cinema calendar for me.

As a movie enthusiast with a heart full of emotions, let me share a scene from the recent film I watched that struck a chord within me – a moment I wasn’t even anticipating in this production. It left such an impact that I feel compelled to discuss it.

The Whole Movie Itself Was So Much Fun

To begin with, let me first express that experiencing Rebirth is nothing short of an exhilarating joyride.

Instead of being the top movie, as previously mentioned, it doesn’t hold that title. However, it excels at delivering an exhilarating, edge-of-your-seat adventure that is notably more terrifying than any other Jurassic World film.

It’s not uncommon for stories to feature characters navigating territories ruled by dinosaurs or similar scenarios. Yet, the unique twist in this story, where the protagonists had to tread with caution to collect samples from these creatures without becoming their next meal, definitely elevated the tension and kept me engaged throughout.

In this movie, several scenes kept me absolutely captivated, a rarity for me these days given my penchant for horror films that have left me somewhat immune. Yet, this particular film managed to make me grip my pearls tightly and nibble on my fingernails.

Regardless, while I found the film enjoyable, there was a particular aspect that struck me profoundly and triggered my tears.

However, That Moment With The Titanosaurus Dinosaurs Made Me Sob

In other Jurassic films, there have been moments when the action pauses for a more peaceful scene, and this is one of those instances. It wasn’t necessarily the content itself that affected me, but rather how it was presented that had an impact on me.

In their quest for data, they’re focusing on the second type of species now. Unfortunately, a few members from their team have had to withdraw due to complications related to this mission. After battling harsh jungle conditions, they’ve stumbled upon a herd of Titanosaurus, a sight that has left every member of the team spellbound and awestruck.

As they grew more visible, immersed in their natural environment, something about it struck an emotional chord in the movie theater, reducing me to tears. Upon closer examination, I found that there were essentially two underlying causes.

It Was Like The Perfect Representation Of Love Across Species

Among all, this one resonates most strongly with me. I’m drawn to heartwarming romantic comedies and delight in reading sweet love stories. Simply put, tales of love just seem to harmonize perfectly with my spirit.

Seeing such deep affection between different species, especially when it mirrors human love, is a profound and moving experience for me. I believe that many of us struggle to fully grasp that animals can experience love and companionship like we do because, from our perspective, their emotional range may not be as expansive as ours.

It’s common to assume they understand like us, but their perception might not be as advanced or nuanced.

Afterward, a remarkable event unfolded, and it felt like a jolt to my thoughts. Although it likely didn’t transpire as such during the ancient epochs, there was an undeniable charm in observing two dinosaurs entwined, symbolizing their profound affection for one another. Moreover, they moved in pairs, mirroring the social structure of their species, and roamed across a vast, unbounded field together.

Love, in its purest form, is an exceptional demonstration of the power that surpasses all boundaries, including those between species. In a film context, such a message resonates deeply, even when presented within the realm of fictional storytelling. It’s heartening to see that it didn’t veer into inappropriate or explicit content involving dinosaurs, as was potentially suggested.

The Fact That Everyone In The Group Felt It And Just Stopped And Stared Had Me Smiling

Another factor that brought a mix of smiles and tears was how remarkably relatable the characters were to me. As I marveled at the dinosaurs alongside my childlike self, the others seemed just as awestruck, making it appear as if they momentarily lost sight of their mission.

Indeed, as a fervent admirer, seeing Jonathan Bailey’s character, Dr. Henry Loomis, tenderly approach the dinosaur and on the verge of tears brought a warm grin to my face. However, it was Zora’s poignant scene that truly tugged at my heartstrings.

Her primary purpose is to generate income, but it’s also clear she values her team deeply, as demonstrated from the start. However, ultimately, everyone is present with the shared goal of earning enough to never have to work again post this venture. In essence, her role is focused on securing the sample.

As I find myself transfixed, I can’t help but gaze upon the breathtaking majesty of these dinosaurs. The rifle in my hand trembles slightly as awe overtakes me, my eyes bulging at their resplendent form. It’s only a matter of time before I collect the specimen we require – these titans of yore are gentle and peaceful giants.

At times like that, when even I find myself pausing to appreciate the stunning beauty, it truly resonates deeply. Indeed, I’d react similarly as well.

I Hope Future Jurassic World Movies Lean More In That Direction

It’s unclear if another “Jurassic World” film is being planned. The ending of “Rebirth” seemed more like a contented farewell towards a brighter future, suggesting that a sequel might not be necessary.

In case another Jurassic Park sequel is indeed in the works, I truly hope they delve into more emotionally impactful scenes. After all, while the thrill of dinosaurs chasing people is exciting, moments like these are what audiences remember and cherish long after the movie ends. I’m deeply appreciative for such experiences.

This year is packed with fantastic films yet to come, but right now, I’ve got the itch to revisit the past – specifically, I’m planning a Jurassic Park movie marathon, stepping back into a world where dinosaurs rule again!
