After finishing the main story in the game, Nintendo Everything reports you’ll unlock several Battle and Hyrule Challenges, plus face new enemy types. You’ll also be able to equip a Greatsword of Light and a Spear of the Upper Guard to the mysterious golem and warriors. New team-up attacks, called Sync Strikes, are coming too! One involves Zelda and Calamo, where Calamo throws a boomerang that Zelda retrieves using time-based powers. Another Sync Strike features the Block Golem, unleashing a strong spinning attack that can topple weaker foes.
Nintendo hasn’t announced when the English version of the update will be available, but Nintendo Life reports it will include improvements and bug fixes. These changes will likely add helpful map tutorials, show you what areas you can restore, and let you see how much health you’ll regain.
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment is the newest installment in the Hyrule Warriors series, following the 2020 game Age of Calamity. It takes place before the events of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. In our review, we gave it a 7 out of 10, praising its fun combat and large character selection, and calling it the best Hyrule Warriors game yet, though the story might not fully satisfy dedicated Zelda fans. It’s currently available on Nintendo Switch.
