Idea Factory International has shared that the games – Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 1, Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 2: Sisters Generation, and Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 3: V Generation – will debut in North America and Europe on PlayStation 4 in the year 2025. The games can be purchased either digitally or physically from retail outlets, but the cost details have not been disclosed yet.
This news is part of an unusual sequence of events concerning the Western distribution of the trilogy on various platforms. Initially, it was announced that the three Neptunia games would be released in the West for Nintendo Switch in April 2024. However, a month later, the release was postponed indefinitely, and eventually, it was completely scrapped in December 2024. At that time, the publisher stated they had no intentions of localizing the PlayStation 4 version in the West.
In Japan, it was announced that the games would be released on both the Nintendo Switch (during Summer 2024) and the PlayStation 4 (in Fall 2024).
The announcement made today about PS4 reveals that the next three games can be played on PlayStation Vita, Steam, and (upcoming) PlayStation 4. Moreover, the initial game will also have a version for PlayStation 5 named Neptunia reVerse.
