The enchanting Hunter Schafer, often compared to an elven beauty, will not be gracing the screen as Princess Zelda in the live-action “The Legend of Zelda” film, contrary to internet speculation. Instead, the roles of Zelda and Link will be played by comparatively younger actors: Bo Bragason, a 21-year-old recognized for her role in Disney+ series “Operation Nell,” and Benjamin Evan Ainsworth, a 16-year-old renowned for his performance as Miles in “The Haunting of Bly Manor.” Shigeru Miyamoto, the creator of “The Legend of Zelda,” expressed enthusiasm about the new cast, with the film set to release on May 7, 2027. This news comes as a disappointment to Schafer’s fans, who had long hoped for her to embody Princess Zelda in the movie due to their striking resemblance. Schafer herself has expressed interest, stating it would be “so cool” back in 2023. However, it seems that Schafer will not be part of this particular adventure as initially anticipated.
It’s risky to go alone, so take this! (This is a reference to ‘The Legend of Zelda’, where the phrase “It’s dangerous to go alone, take this” is said when Link receives his sword.)
