As a long-time Scream fanatic who’s lived through the terrifying adventures of Ghost Face across various dimensions, I can’t help but feel the chills of excitement running down my spine. The announcement that Ghost Face is joining Hunt: Showdown feels like an answer to a prayer hidden in a bloody St. Michael’s medallion.
Previously, the Ghost Face character has appeared in various video games such as Dead By Daylight, Among Us, and Call of Duty: Warzone. Originally introduced in Wes Craven’s 1996 movie “Scream,” this famous slasher is now set to make an appearance in a new game. Starting on October 24, players can encounter Ghost Face within the world of Hunt: Showdown, which is a unique blend of western and horror themes, marking its first licensed character skin.
In the Ghost Face Rampage DLC, you’ll find the character skin, along with two silent weapons – Hush (a Frontier 73C Silencer) and Whisper (a Bornheim No. 3 Silencer). Additionally, there’s a handy tool, a knife, for good measure. The stealth-focused arsenal suits Ghost Face, the sneaky protagonist of the Scream series, quite well. If only Hunt: Showdown had a communication device to allow Ghost Face to taunt other players as they explore the map during each round!
In the style of Dead By Daylight, a character has undergone an update to fit the game world, featuring a 19th-century hat and duster coat. The signature mask has also been redesigned from rubber to wood. Although Hunt hasn’t previously ventured into licensed crossovers, this collaboration seems fitting considering its ongoing Halloween event is named Harvest of Ghosts.
