Having heard about his love for the game and his impressive gaming history, it’s clear we share a common bond.
Crytek faced criticism over their Ghostface partnership in Hunt: Showdown’s Halloween event, but they could be swaying public opinion with an upcoming team-up with renowned artist Post Malone. This potential collaboration was suggested during a recent Q&A session, where details about the rapper’s gaming experience and a sneak peek at the collaboration were shared. Here’s what we know thus far.

Post Malone revealed that a friend initially introduced him to the game, and he’s now clocked in more than 400 hours of playtime. He further elaborated on what drew him to the extraction shooter, stating, “I appreciate its authenticity and connection to real-world aspects.
Extremely fast action, you can take down an opponent with a single shot. The weapons are incredibly powerful. The graphics are impressive. And I thought to myself, I’m ready to try it out. Then I used necro for the first time and exclaimed – this is an exceptional game!
Hunt Showdown: 1896 Teases Post Malone Collaboration
For Post Malone supporters, the discussion was pleasantly engaging. However, what piqued Hunt fans’ interest most was the hint at a future collaboration. In their blog post about the Q&A session, Crytek announced, “In an unprecedented, unique partnership, Post Malone reveals a sneak peek into how players can share an exclusive Hunt adventure with him, coming soon.
They added, “Fans can have a first taster with an excerpt from the Dime Store Novels, offering some details about what’s to come.” While this is all the info available so far, Crytek shared a short excerpt titled “The Ballad of Post Malone,” which hints that the character was once a musician who became the head of a traveling carnival (You can read the entire ballad here).
There’s not much detail on this partnership as of now, but it might bring a new burst of energy to the game since Halloween is almost over and the holiday season is nearing. We’ll make certain to keep you informed about the Hunt: Showdown 1896 and Post Malone collaboration, so stay tuned, fellow hunters!
