Christopher McQuarrie, the filmmaker himself, spoke about this scene in a 2015 Slashfilm roundtable, highlighting it as a memorable moment for Benji.

In the deleted scene of the film lasting ten minutes, Benji donned a mask. His appearance was quite surprising. It turned out to be an enjoyable twist. He appeared as Alec Baldwin portraying CIA chief Alan Hunley, who intended to disband the IMF. This moment was both exciting and amusing. Benji removed an Alec Baldwin mask while disguised as himself, and it was like a shock – that’s how they managed to evade Alec Baldwin.

In the storyline of Rogue Nation, a sequence would have unfolded into an exciting car chase. However, it was determined that this segment disrupted the rhythm, so the approximately 10-minute section was eliminated. Regrettably, viewers missed out on the thrill of Baldwin portraying Benji, feigning as Hunley, delivering dialogues to Cruise, who had to endure his character silently taking the verbal abuse.
