I’m a huge fan of superhero games, and I’m really sad that Freedom Force vs. The Third Reich – a fantastic tactical RTS from 2005 – isn’t talked about much anymore. It’s honestly one of the best superhero games ever made, and it still holds up incredibly well today! Plus, it allowed players to create some amazing mods. I’m excited to share that one of the best, called Marvel Adventures, just got a new update!
Okay, so this mod is a complete overhaul – it basically drops you right into the Marvel universe! And it’s HUGE. Seriously, there are ten full story campaigns you can play through, following the adventures of all your favorite heroes like the X-Men, the Avengers, Thor, the Guardians of the Galaxy, the Fantastic Four, Iron Man, and Spider-Man. It’s a dream come true for a Marvel fan like me!
This mod lets you control a team of superheroes, similar to the game Freedom Force vs. The Third Reich. It boasts a huge roster of over 300 characters, each with their own special powers. Plus, you’ll enjoy well-crafted missions and detailed environments based on iconic comic book locations.
The newest update to Marvel Adventures, version 2.6, introduces a host of changes! Players can now enjoy new heroes like Sentry, Apollo, and Fat Cobra, alongside new villains including Hela and Ammo. Existing heroes have also been enhanced with new abilities and combo moves. Plus, the game features improved graphics and resolves several technical issues.
The team behind this mod has also created other popular large-scale mods like Ghostbusters: Trick or Terror and Ninja Turtles: Turtle Power!. If you don’t already own Freedom Force vs. The Third Reich, it’s a great time to buy it on Steam – it’s currently on sale for just $1.24, a 75% discount!
