How to watch Xbox Games Showcase 2025 & what to expect

During Summer Game Fest, Microsoft is set to unveil games created by their own studios at the Xbox Games Showcase. This will be followed by a dedicated presentation for The Outer Wilds 2.

The Summer Game Fest has arrived, offering publishers and creators a platform to unveil their upcoming video games, share insights into their development projects, and occasionally surprise us with an early release. The principal SGF event will occur on the 6th, while Microsoft hosts its own showcase on the 8th.

What to expect

Xbox game reveals

Get ready for fresh gameplay demonstrations, captivating cinematic previews, behind-the-scenes developer insights, and official release date unveilings for the forthcoming exclusive games from Xbox’s own studios.

2025 and 2026 will likely bring us additional installments of Fable, Ninja Gaiden 4, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 & 4, and the updated version of Gears of War, titled “Reloaded”.

1. We might get a closer look at Gears of War: E-Day, Everwild, Perfect Dark, State of Decay 3, Asus and Xbox’s rumored handheld device, and possibly another peek at The Elder Scrolls 6 as well.

2. Additional glimpses could be in store for us with Gears of War: E-Day, Everwild, Perfect Dark, State of Decay 3, the alleged Asus & Xbox handheld, and potentially a second look at The Elder Scrolls 6.

Following the Xbox Games Showcase, I’m thrilled to share that there’s an exclusive Outer Worlds 2 Developer Direct coming up. This event offers us a behind-the-scenes look at the game, featuring brand new gameplay, insights, and details about the sequel to the acclaimed first-person sci-fi RPG – all directly from the talented minds who are crafting it!

As a fervent admirer, I’ve been eagerly awaiting the news that it’s “coming in 2025.” However, there’s always a glimmer of hope that we might receive a more specific timeline, perhaps even a concrete launch date, to fuel our excitement even further!

Will Call of Duty 2025 be revealed?

It’s uncertain if Call of Duty 2025 will make an appearance at the upcoming Xbox Games Showcase. Last year, Black Ops 6 was unveiled following the event, but this year, The Outer Worlds 2 seems to be stealing the limelight instead.

We may only get a glimpse of the game’s title or a brief teaser video showcasing its characters and environment, but it likely won’t offer the extensive details provided in the BO6 Direct.

As a dedicated fan, I’m eagerly anticipating what’s next for “Call of Duty,” and history suggests we might learn more at the annual “Call of Duty Next” event that Activision typically hosts in August. If past years are any indication, this gathering could provide us with exclusive hands-on experiences and a wealth of intriguing details about the upcoming game.
