To enhance your armor in Black Myth Wukong, head towards Yin Tiger who resides in the Ruyi Scroll. You’ll find him on the left side of the area, after climbing a short flight of stairs. If you’re up for it, you can also fight Yin. Victory will grant you new items in his shop that you can purchase.
However, to even reach Yin Tiger, you must first unlock the Ruyi Scroll location.
How Do You Unlock the Ruyi Scroll Location
To find the Ruyi Scroll’s location, you need to finish the Chen Loong Questline in Chapter 3 first. Once you disembark from Turtle Island in Chapter 3, you’ll end up on a snowy shore with two paths. Take the path on the left and engage the dragon standing in the water. Remember this trick: Have Bajie fight the dragon instead of attacking him directly. This tactic often makes Chen Loong target the invincible Bajie, leading to an easier victory for you.
Following your victory against Chen Loong, make your way to Xu Dog in Chapter 2. You’ll find Xu Dog just outside the arena where you battled the Yellow Wind Sage. Speak with him (if you haven’t already), and he will reward you with an item. Deliver this item back to Chen to wrap up the quest. Once completed, Chen will transport you straight to the Ruyi Scroll region.
Once you enter, this area allows you to interact with the following characters:
- Xu Dog – Celestial and Mortal Medicines
- Shen Monkey – Drinks & Gourds
- Chen Loong – Harvesting Ingredients
- Yin Tiger – Upgrade/Craft Armor & Craft Weapons
On the left side of the space, there stands Yin, all by himself. Engage him in conversation to create fresh armor and weapons, or enhance your current armor components. Additionally, you can test your mettle against Yin in combat to receive a new spell and goods from the store. But remember, it’s going to be a challenging battle!
