Are you considering utilizing the Monorail feature in Death Stranding 2: On the Beach? This transportation method plays a significant role in your mission to link various regions to the Chiral Network. With it, moving multiple items seamlessly from one place to another becomes effortless.
How to unlock the Monorail in Death Stranding 2 – Monorail guide
After wrapping up the peculiar tar currents mystery at F1, I finally managed to gain access to the Monorail system! This new ride should make exploring the game world even more exciting from now on.
- Upon reaching Sector F1, you’ll fight a giant Mecha BT.
- Defeating this opponent leads to conversations with the settlement’s leader and Fragile.
- The next day, Sam will be able to talk to the lead NPC once more. He’ll be presented with a task to restore power to a nearby mine.
How to restore power to the mine
In Death Stranding 2, ensure that your vehicle is stocked with the necessary supplies such as Resins, Special Alloys, and a minimum of 2000 Chiral Crystals in your inventory before you can unlock the Monorail.
Regardless, the mine lies directly to the north of the F1 facility. A few waterways stand between you and it, but you’ll arrive swiftly since there are no hostile outposts nearby.
Upon entering, deposit the mentioned resources at the terminal. Once the “Mine” option appears, contribute 2,000 Chiral Crystals to get 4,800 Special Alloys in return.
How to transport tons of resources and vehicles
Carrying around four tons of minerals is not advisable. Luckily, the Monorail system will help expedite the process. Here’s what needs to be done:
1. Load the minerals onto the Monorail.
2. Activate the Monorail system.
3. Sit back and let the system do its job efficiently.
- Select “Load Cargo” and place all the Special Alloys in a container.
- Select “Load Vehicle” and place your Tri-Cruiser in another container.
- Choose “Get On/Off Monorail” and hit the “Dispatch” button.
- You’ll then find yourself clinging to the side of the Monorail as it travels from the mine back to the West Fort Knot facility.
Reminder: In upcoming trips, continue loading multiple tons of supplies, goods, and your own vehicle onto the Monorail. Then, travel it to your designated destination.
How to further expand the Monorail system
As I delve deeper into this campaign, I’m finding new routes for my monorail unlocking along the way. Sometimes, it’s mission time from a facility that needs my attention. Other times, I need to gather enough resources to fix up a section of the rail network. It’s great to see fellow gamers chip in with their own resources to strengthen our monorail connections too!
In wrap-up, here ends our tutorial on finding the key to access the Monorail in Death Stranding 2. Keep in mind, there are other methods to traverse the map. You might also be keen on exploring the DHV Magellan’s rapid travel option.
People long to reconnect with one another again, and that responsibility lies with you. If you find yourself needing extra assistance, our Death Stranding 2 guide resources are here to help.
