As a dedicated Mario Party fan, one thing that always gets me pumped is diving into the vibrant world of characters from the iconic Mario universe. In Super Mario Party Jamboree, you start off with an impressive roster of 20 characters, offering a wealth of options to conquer those boards! Yet, there are two special characters – Pauline and Ninji – that you’ll need to unlock individually. If you fancy yourself as a Pauline or Ninji player, consider yourself fortunate because I’m about to share some tips on how to bring them onto your team.

How to unlock Pauline and Ninji in Super Mario Party Jamboree

In Super Mario Party Jamboree, there’s no requirement for significant advancement to unveil characters like Pauline and Ninji. All you need to do is step inside the big hot air balloon found in the Party Plaza – the very same balloon you utilize for selecting game modes.

Typically, you switch between game modes by using L and R buttons when you’re in a hot air balloon, but interestingly, you have the option to manipulate the camera directly. When soaring above, explore locations at your leisure by moving the left joystick around as desired.

Now, all you have to do is look for Pauline and Ninji, zoom in on them, then press A to interact.

Where to find Pauline

Pauline can be found on a tiny island to the left of Minigame Bay. To reach her, zoom in and press ‘A’. Initially, she might seem surprised, but she’ll quickly become part of your team!

Where to find Ninji

On an elevated isle, not far from the Rhythm Kitchen structure, you’ll find Ninji. Much like Pauline, you can focus in by zooming and then pressing ‘A’. This action startles him slightly, but he’ll be delighted to become part of your team after that!

In Super Mario Party Jamboree, I’ve discovered two brand new characters to add to my roster, bringing the total playable count up to a whopping 22! With such a diverse pool to choose from, I’m spoiled for choice when it comes to selecting my favorite character. Luckily, since every character in this game has identical stats, there’s no strategic advantage to picking one over another. So go ahead and play with the one that makes you smile the most!
