Playing The First Berserker: Khazan can be quite challenging. To make it through, it’s essential to leverage all the resources at your disposal. Among these resources, the Phantoms are particularly powerful. Not only do they significantly enhance one facet of Khazan for you initially, but as you progress, you’ll unlock additional buffs that will significantly aid you in your journey.
In this guide, we’ll walk you through all the Phantoms you can get in the game, their special powers, and how to obtain them. Following our instructions will ensure that you don’t miss a single one during your journey. Keep in mind, some of these Ghostly relics are quite tricky to locate.
How Phantoms Work
In The First Berserker, there are eight spectral entities known as Phantoms. You can uncover them by collecting the ghostly items linked to each one. Once you activate a Phantom, it offers you an advantage that grows stronger as it levels up. Each Phantom reaches a maximum level of 20.
But there are other methods for making them stronger. In fact, each Phantom can be enhanced two times. You improve them in the same manner as you initially obtain them: by discovering the Ghost relic related to them and then presenting it to them.
Each Phantom’s unique item is exclusively tied to them and serves no other function. Therefore, it seems there’s no valid reason against using these items based on my understanding.
Keshta The Unyielding

Phantom Effect |

Keshta enhances the speed of your stamina recovery. |
Upgraded Abilities | |
---|---|
Level 1 | Increases stamina recovery rate by 30% for 15 seconds upon becoming exhausted. |
Level 2 | Restores stamina by 15% when an enemy is exhausted. |
As a gamer, I’ll need the “Wild Ghost Necklace” to unlock Keshta. My first opportunity to grab this necklace is by finishing the side mission called “Stormpass’ Phantom of Combat. This mission will be offered to me by the Blade Phantom, and it becomes available as soon as I gain access to “The Crevice.
In this game, you’ll find that this particular side quest is quite short because it lacks a level or stage structure. Instead, you’re tasked with defeating an upgraded version of the Blade Phantom boss.
Veronika The Advocate

Veronika needs the Ghost Gem to be unsealed. You can find the initial one during the Forgotten Temple mission. The gem will be located within the same room as where you battle the Epic Masterless Guardian miniboss, which is a large Dragonkin wielding a massive mace. Once you’ve completed the second statue puzzle there, you’ll obtain the Gem. The closest Blade Nexus is situated near the boss’ entrance.
To help you navigate through the intricate details, here’s a comprehensive guide for the Forgotten Temple – our walkthrough. It will pinpoint the precise location where you can find the Ghost Gem.

Maximilian needs to obtain the Ghost Shield for it to be accessible. During the mission “Escaping Linon Mine,” after you’ve scaled up and around, you’ll find a spot where you can knock down a ladder, creating a shortcut back to the initial area. Nearby is a bridge with a few spiders on the opposite side. Suspended above them is a webbed corpse holding the Ghost Shield. Use a Javelin to sever it and collect the shield. The nearest Blade Nexus is the “Mine No. 2 Central Management Hub.

To progress and reach Wulfric, you must obtain the Ghost Hammer during the Strange Stench mission. After ascending wooden beams and traversing through caverns, you’ll find a gate that opens to the first area. Close by, there’s a barrier you can break. In the subsequent region, prepare for battle against a large spider mini-boss.
After you eliminate the spider, glance upwards. You’ll spot a dead spider suspended above you, shimmering with something valuable. Use a javelin to sever its body and retrieve the Ghost Hammer hanging from it. The closest Blade Nexus is the Grim Cave, but remember that you can only access it if you’ve activated the shortcut.

You’ll spot a platform suspended by a rope with an item on it. Use a javelin to cut the rope, then go below and gather the Ghost Gem. The nearest Blade Nexus is the “Burning City.

Similar to Keshta, there’s no need to hunt down the Ghost; it will be handed over to you upon defeating the Reaper boss.
