You can choose exactly which parts of BF6 get downloaded and installed on your console or PC, and you can do it right from within the game. Here’s how:

  • Select the “Settings” cog from the top menu
  • Go into the “System” tab.
  • Right at the top, in the “Setup” area, you will see “Install / Uninstall”. Click on the “Edit” button.

From here, you can access a menu to manage all your game content. This includes options for multiplayer, the single-player story mode, and the high-resolution textures for both modes, which can be adjusted separately.

Selecting an option will bring you to a new screen where you can remove or add the content.

How to pick what parts you want to install on Steam:

When installing Battlefield on Xbox and PlayStation 5, you’ll be asked which game components to download. However, Steam doesn’t offer this option. Simply clicking “Install” on Steam will download the entire 75 GB game. If you’d like to customize the installation, here’s how to do it.
