How To Hatch The Questling Egg In Tainted Grail: The Fall Of Avalon

In the world of Tainted Grail: The Fall Of Avalon, I find myself on the island of Avalon, which is teetering on the brink. The Red Plague sweeps through the land like wildfire, whispers of political upheaval and intrigue echo in every corner, robbers lurk along the roads, and bloodthirsty beasts prowl about. I am merely a former captive, yet I bear a fragment of King Arthur’s soul – a blessing and a curse.

In Avalon, you’ll encounter a great deal of death, some requiring you to take lives for your own survival and others discovering the remains of those who have already passed away. The Beast’s Lair is an example of such places, overflowing with corpses, but there’s still hope – a flicker of life remains.

How To Find The Questling Beast Egg

To get the Questling Egg, your first step will be to locate the Shrine Of The Long-Forgotten Deity, which can be found in the vicinity of the south-eastern end of the Horn Of The South region.

From the fast-travel point at the East Gate close to Blood Lake, proceed west, followed by a northward direction towards the Gallows. Continue your journey through a gap in the wall that’s near the scaffolding, which eventually leads you to a mountain trail.

Traverse the trail after encountering the solitary Corpse Eater and reach a Druidic Shrine where you can deposit animal offerings like Wolf Fangs or Pelts. This offering grants a temporary boost, providing approximately 5% Increased Healing Received and 3% Increased Critical Damage.

Should you examine the area near the Corpse Eater, you’ll discover the Swordmaster’s Ring. This artifact boosts your Attack Speed by a noteworthy 2%. Alternatively, it can also be traded for 150 Gold.

Continue along the path until you come across a crossroads. Take the right path, then climb the stairs all the way up, and you’ll see Caradoc seated on a stump outside the cave known as the “Lair of the Beast.” While it’s not mandatory, feel free to chat with him for some details about the story and the nearby cave.

Venture deep into the Den of the Monstrous Creature, pushing steadily forward until you encounter a colossal slain beast resting on a stone. Move to its left side, and you’ll stumble upon a big nest filled with corpses. The Questing Beast Egg lies nestled in the heart of this grim collection.

How To Hatch The Questling Beast Egg

As a dedicated fan, I’d say: “To help the Questling Beast Egg hatch, I’ve got to clock in 5,000 steps first, and luckily, there are no restrictions on where or when I can do these steps. So whether it’s a casual stroll or a sprint around my neighborhood at dawn or dusk, every step counts!

You can find out the total number of steps required and the remaining ones by examining the details of the Questling Egg in your inventory.

Once you’ve hit 5,000 steps, it’s essential to establish a campfire and spend at least an hour there; using a sleeping bag or any bed you might find around the globe won’t be suitable for this rest.

After you’ve fully woken up from your rest, you’ll encounter a brief scene showing an egg hatching, which will earn you the “A New Friend” Achievement. This event also introduces a new companion, the Questling Beast, whom you can interact with by petting them, teaching them tricks, or having them wait at particular locations like your home (which can be purchased).
