As a seasoned BitLifer with years of virtual life under my belt, I can confidently say that the Thanksgiving Scavenger Hunt update has introduced some intriguing quests, one of which is the enigmatic “Give Away a House” challenge. Initially, I was as puzzled as a cat chasing its tail, wondering how on earth one could give away a house in this game without an explicit function for it. But alas, after a bit (no pun intended) of digging and experimenting, I stumbled upon the ingenious loophole that allows us to complete this quest!
One of the trickiest tasks in the BitLife Thanksgiving Scavenger Hunt update involves finding a way to offer a house to another player within the game. The term “Give Away” might be misleading because there’s no direct feature for this action within the game. However, here’s a workaround to complete the quest:

To clarify the intriguing predicament at hand, it’s possible to bestow or transfer the property by leveraging the Transfer feature. Indeed, this Transfer function enables you to generously donate or transfer any in-game properties you possess to any individual of your preference. Consequently, utilizing this option will help us complete the quest. However, it’s essential to note that before you can do so, you must first acquire a property by purchasing one!
How to get a house in BitLife
To acquire a house, you generally need a substantial amount of savings, which can vary from around $20,000 to half a million dollars. This could be achieved by starting your life in a privileged position, such as a Royal, or by securing a well-paying career as a musician, athlete, or doctor. In my case, I prefer the former option because I own the God-Mode DLC, but if you don’t have that luxury, you can pursue the latter path. You could also consider starting your own business to accumulate wealth more quickly, although this would require an initial investment. Alternatively, you could take up a regular job as a techie, writer, or teacher and save money for several years before looking for a house.
Regardless of the approach you take, make sure to save at least $100,000 for purchasing a house. The remainder can typically be obtained via a mortgage.
After gathering the required funds, my next move is to scout for an ideal abode. Head over to the Shops section under the Activities tab, where various Real Estate agents list their properties. Browse through them and pick something that catches your eye and fits within your budget. In my gaming adventure, I splurged on a condo worth $200,000 as a donation, but feel free to choose what suits you best!
How to donate your house in BitLife
After buying an aircraft, you’ll locate it within the Properties section under Assets, which can be accessed from the primary menu. In this area, you’ll discover a Gift option under the Activities tab for your Condo. Simply click on it and select someone from your personal or professional network, such as family, friends, or work colleagues. Interestingly, while I was playing the game, I chose to give my house to my girlfriend because she was the one who accepted my gift without any complications. Yes, you may find several people who will turn down your gift initially. So, keep gifting until someone accepts it genuinely!
