How to get Voyta’s brushes and dice in the Sketchy Situation quest – Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

After saving Master Voyta from wolves as a prelude for the Brushes with Death DLC in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, you’ll receive a quest titled “A Perplexing Predicament”. The same individuals who bound him to a tree have stolen his painting equipment (brushes) and dice. Your mission is to retrieve these items from Trosky Castle for Master Voyta.

In my own words, I’d say: I’ve learned that the chaps who snatched Voyta’s paint brushes and dice are hiding in a grove of trees, southeast of Troskowitz, tucked below the main forest. You can’t miss them, they’re quite visible with their makeshift target range for shooting birds nearby the road. However, it’s important to remember that Voyta would appreciate if we avoid any hostile actions in retrieving his belongings.

Upon your arrival, speaking with both individuals will reveal a slightly varied account compared to Voyta’s story. After initial refusals, you might persuade them to confess by hinting at their possession of the brushes and dice. Alternatively, you could remind them that there’s no need for punishment if they come clean about it.

People will say that Voyta was behaving oddly, conversing with a human skull. You too have observed this peculiar behavior. After he upset them, they bound him to a tree, a location where he would be discovered as retribution and took his belongings. However, even if you try to scare them into returning the items, I didn’t manage to retrieve those possessions of mine.

It appears the game presents an opportunity for you to engage in a dice match with Four-Leaf Clovis and archery contest against his companion Yura. I discovered that my best course of action was simply to wait for them both to fall asleep before stealing from them. I had to steal from Yura once to secure the brushes, but it took me three attempts to rob Four-Leaf Clovis in order to obtain all three dice. This heist enabled me to return Voyta’s possessions, although more daring thieves might find it simpler.

This method was undeniably the most straightforward for completing it, particularly if you’re not very skilled at the dice game, which is my case. Alternatively, you could perhaps eliminate the two gentlemen and retrieve the items from their bodies, but that seems like a brutal beginning to this new DLC.
