Tips for getting Hide and Seek World Champ in FNAF Into the Pit

The title “Hide and Seek World Champ” in the game “Five Nights at Freddy’s: Into the Pit” is one of the hardest achievements to earn, even for the most dedicated fans of the series. Though it appears that the objective is straightforward, there are some factors to consider when staying hidden.

  • Must use each TYPE of hiding spot – To reiterate, you must use every single type of designated hiding spot in the game once for the achievement, rather than every single actual hiding spot. This means once you hide under a table in Oswald’s house, you don’t need to do so in Freddy Fazbear’s.
    • All types of hiding spots include: cabinets, storage chests, vents, under beds, and under tables.
      • We highly suggest making yourself a check-off list of all hiding spots, so you can keep track of the ones you’ve done. This is easily done by clicking on your chosen save file in the Main Menu and pressing “F”. Scroll down to see the “Hiding Spots” for both the Pizzeria and Oswald’s House.
  • What constitutes a “successful hide” – There are specific steps to take for your hiding attempts to count towards this achievement:
    • First, Spring Bonnie must see you in order to give chase. You’ll know this when he screams at Oswald.
    • When Oswald hides, either a QTE mini-game (e.g. – swatting spiders, staying out of sight, holding breath), or a cutscene of Spring Bonnie/other animatronics pacing back and forth must happen.
    • Of course, stay alive and hidden until Spring Bonnie/other animatronic leaves the area.
  • Bait Springbonnie one room from your chosen spot – When you decide which hiding spot you want to use, the most effective way to do this is by catching Spring Bonnie’s attention one room away. As soon as he sees you, run to the room with your chosen spot and hide.
    • For example, if you want to hide under the dining table in Oswald’s House, bait Spring Bonnie from the Kitchen and then run into the Dining Room to hide.
  • Adjust Animatronic Aggression – When choosing the difficulty for a new playthrough, you can also adjust the aggression level of any of the animatronics, including Spring Bonnie. This increases the probability of being spotted and their run speed while chasing. You can use this to your advantage if you want a higher rate of detection to get spots done faster, but choose wisely.
  • Difficulty matters – This achievement can be done on any difficulty EXCEPT for Nightmare, as not all types of hiding spots will be available to use on that difficulty. The quickest and easiest way to get this done is on Creepy difficulty, where you have all possible options.

All hiding spot locations in FNAF Into the Pit

In the game Five Nights at Freddy’s: Into the Pit, hiding places can only be discovered in two out of its five settings: Oswald’s House and Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria (excluding Jeff’s). Previously mentioned, there are various types of hiding spots, and for this achievement, you must successfully hide at least once in each type.

As a gamer, I should keep in mind that once I’ve found a hiding spot type in Oswald’s House, there’s no need to find it again in Freddy Fazbear’s.

Rooms devoid of concealment options can be found across all levels in these locations: the Living Room and Kitchen at Oswald’s residence, as well as the Arcade, Security Room, and Backstage at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria.

Here are details about the secret hideouts within the game, accompanied by in-game maps for better understanding. Additionally, you’ll find advice on luring Spring Bonnie near each spot. Enjoy your exploration!

As a dedicated fan, I wanted to share a tidbit about Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza: You won’t be able to discover the secret hideout in the kitchen until you’ve advanced to at least Night 3. Keep exploring!

As a gamer, I’d put it this way: In Oswald’s House, starting from Night 1 when you’re tasked with “Calling Mom”, there’s one hiding spot of each type waiting to be discovered. If you’re aiming to tackle most of them right off the bat, here’s a tip: Grab all the extra Batteries scattered throughout the house first. That way, you’ll have plenty in reserve for your noisemakers, ensuring you’re well-equipped for the challenges ahead.

Previously, it was suggested that placing Spring Bonnie one room distant from your selected hiding place offers the best chance for a successful concealment. Here’s our recommended approach for each scenario:

  • Storage Chest in Attic – Bait Spring Bonnie in Hallway 1 with the Vacuum Cleaner before running up the Attic stairs.
  • Oswald’s Bed – Bait Spring Bonnie in Hallway 2 using the Sewing Machine before running into Oswald’s Room.
  • Parents’ Bed – Bait Spring Bonnie in Hallway 2 using the Sewing Machine. The “Call Mom” objective that requires you to hide under the bed during Night 1 does NOT count.
  • Hallway 1 Cabinet – Bait Spring Bonnie from either the Dining Room or Hallway 2 (Sewing Machine).
  • Hallway 2 Cabinet – Bait Spring Bonnie from either Hallway 1 (with Vacuum Cleaner) or the Kitchen (Blender).
  • Dining Table in Dining Room – Bait Spring Bonnie from either the Living Room (TV), Hallway 1 (Vacuum Cleaner), or the Kitchen (Blender).
  • Storage Chest in Basement – Bait Spring Bonnie from the Kitchen.

All hiding spots in Pizzeria (Freddy Fazbear’s)

In case I ever overlook any hiding spots in Oswald’s House at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, there’s one of each type to be found elsewhere within the pizzeria. Additionally, it’s here that I can finish off the Vent and Golden Freddy suit challenges, making this place quite special indeed!

It’s best to set up concealment areas early during the game, preferably before Freddy, Chica, and Bonnie begin their patrols.

Previously, it was noted that positioning Spring Bonnie one room away from your chosen hiding place maximizes success in a “hide”. Chica’s “warning system” can be beneficial in specific scenarios for guiding Spring Bonnie, but because her location becomes uncertain later on, she might not always be dependable.

We recommend the following strategies for each of these:

  • Entrance Vent – Bait Spring Bonnie from the Dining Area.
  • Any Tables in the Dining Area – Bait Spring Bonnie from the Entrance, the Ball Pit, or the Party Hallway. The Entrance can give you the most leeway for hiding under a table at the opposite end of the room.
  • Storage Chest in Basement – Arguably the most difficult. Bait Spring Bonnie preferably from the Dining Area, to give yourself more distance. You can try Backstage as well, but be quick!
  • Golden Freddy suit in Storage Room – Bait Spring Bonnie from the Party Hallway.
  • Vent in Storage Room – Bait Spring Bonnie from the Party Hallway.
  • Vent in Party Hallway – Bait Spring Bonnie from either the Dining Area (preferred) or the Storage Room.
  • Table in Party Hallway – Bait Spring Bonnie from either the Dining Area (preferred) or the Storage Room.
