Oh, boy! As a seasoned MMO gamer with more than my fair share of server woes, I can’t help but feel a twinge of deja vu as I embark on Throne and Liberty’s latest fishing adventure. Despite the hiccups with the servers, I’ve managed to wriggle my way into the game early and, lo and behold, there’s a new quest to catch fish!

Amazon has a soft spot for MMO games, and their newest release – Throne and Liberty – is set to debut globally tomorrow. Those who purchased the Early Access Pack can start playing immediately, but beware, as developers seem to have repeated past mistakes. Like during playtesting, players are reporting issues with server connectivity. If you’ve managed to gain entry, then you’ll find yourself with an opportunity for fishing. But remember, you’ll need bait first. This guide will show you how to obtain that crucial item.

How to Get Fishing Bait in Throne and Liberty?

In Chapter 3, visit Kastleton and chat with Adventurer Pro Percy. This interaction initiates a quest titled “The Expedition’s Adventure.” Upon completing the quest, return to Percy to receive a complimentary Bamboo Fishing Rod. Once you’ve obtained this item, gather some fishing bait as well.

In the game called “Throne and Liberty“, there are four distinct types of lures. You’ll acquire them through various methods. The Paste Bait is the most accessible – you can find it from The Contract Coin Merchant. To get a box (which holds 50 units), you need to spend 30 Contract Coins. But remember, you can only buy one box per day. Additionally, this lure can also be bought using a different currency. You can obtain it for 15 Ornate Coins.

During my worldwide fishing adventures, you’ll come across three additional lures – Fish Fillet Bait, Worm Bait, and Shrimp Bait. I’ve found them hidden in treasure chests, and sometimes they even fall out when encountering creatures such as the Hermit Lobster, Iron Chestacean, or Large Stone Crab.
