How To Get Every Ending In Atomfall

In the game Atomfall, there are six distinct conclusions, although they share similar goals, none of them can occur together. It’s probable that multiple plays are required to experience them all, and making just one mistake could prevent you from accessing a certain narrative thread.

From a dedicated fan’s perspective, it’s wise to strategize your approach for subsequent playthroughs after the initial run. This way, you can concentrate on the specific elements required for each ending. Moreover, keeping a save point at Oberon Dig Site could open up opportunities to unlock multiple endings using the same file.

This guide contains spoilers.

The Oberon Dig Site

Each ending involves completing an ally NPC’s quest until they lead you to the Oberon Dig Site. Once you reach there by reactivating the Interchange, you will then need to decide on your approach towards Oberon. Generally, there are three primary methods for engaging with this enigmatic being:

  • Power the drill with two Atomic Batteries and extract a sample.
  • Insert a liquid (either the Growth Stimulant or Poisoned Sample One) into the FIre Suppression System, then open the valves at ground level and douse the meteor.
  • Arm the four explosives around the perimeter of the dig site and trigger the self-destruct sequence.

Each of your allies has unique goals regarding Oberon, and they’ll assist you in escaping only if you comply with their directives. If you defy their desires during the final showdown, they will try to eliminate you if you cross paths with them again.

The Voice On The Telephone

In simpler terms, the Operator’s conclusion requires you to eliminate Oberon in whatever manner you find suitable. One of the simplest methods for achieving this objective is by activating the self-destruct mechanism.

If you’re aiming for a speedrun in the game, simply take the phone call at the start and finish, then prioritize collecting Batteries, obtaining the Signal Redirector from the Field Station, and energizing the Interchange as swiftly as possible. Ignore interacting with other characters for optimal speed.

After taking down Oberon, I’ll head back to where my gaming adventure began, nestled within Bunker L8, located at the southwest corner of Slatten Dale. Once there, I’ll pick up the phone for one final call.

Lockouts

As long as Oberon remains alive, The Voice won’t let you break free; if you opt for the Growth Stimulant, your sole means of leaving the Zone will be accompanied by Mother Jago. Employing poison to eliminate Oberon would meet the Operator’s approval, but escaping with Doctor Holder might prove simpler, particularly after dealing with such difficulties.

Captain Sims

As a loyal subject, I can’t gain Captain Sims’ trust unless I assist him in maintaining law and order within Wyndham Village. I must look into the whereabouts of the baker’s husband, as he has requested, and provide an honest account. In return, he will grant me a permit to access the Protocol camp and prison in Skethermoor. My mission there is to have a conversation with Doctor Garrow, currently confined in her cell.

Inform Garrow that releasing her will prompt her to share details on the Signal Redirector; after acquiring it and departing without liberating her. Discuss the Signal Redirector with Sims, then make a trip to the Speaking Cave in Casterfell Woods to retrieve his lost radio components. Upon your return, he’ll instruct you to dismantle Oberon.

As a gamer, I’ll navigate to the self-destruct sequence at the dig site to trigger an explosion. Then, my goal is to hightail it over to Protocol Camp in Skethermoor to snag a chopper ride out of the Quarantine Zone with Sims. If I swing by the Village Hall, where he’s usually found, there should be a note waiting for me, revealing the rendezvous point.

Lockouts

If you set free Doctor Garrow and all the other captives, you’ll earn a reputation as a foe to the Protocol, which means Sims and his team will view you as a threat throughout the game. They’ll actively confront you whenever they cross paths, and will refuse to work with you in any capacity.

Doctor Garrow

Instead of keeping Doctor Garrow imprisoned, set her free first and then meet her at Central Processing in the Interchange. She’ll request that you fetch her records for her from her old office in the Robotics Lab. Once she has those records, she’ll provide you with the key to the Dam Data Store.

First, energize the Dam Data Store and execute command ‘GEN ERA’ on your console. If you’ve crossed paths with Joyce, she might request you to run ‘GEN MOVE’ to duplicate her files. You are able to oblige, but remember to keep this action a secret from Garrow.

Following your visit to the Dam, Garrow will request that you gather a specimen from Oberon with the drill. Ensure you do so, but remember to keep Oberon undisturbed – neither damage nor enhance it in any way. Afterward, head back to Robotics and speak with Garrow in her office, where you initially found your notes. Deliver the sample to her to conclude the game.

Lockouts

1. If you access the blacked-out information at the Dam Data Store or duplicate it for Joyce, keep Doctor Garrow in the dark about it, otherwise she won’t believe you. Additionally, don’t disclose Doctor Holder about Garrow’s whereabouts after rescuing her; if you do, he will travel to the Interchange and eliminate her. Once you provide him with Garrow’s location, you can’t halt him.

2. If you check out the censored data from the Dam Data Store or make a duplicate for Joyce, keep it a secret from Doctor Garrow, or else she won’t trust you. Furthermore, don’t reveal Doctor Holder where Garrow is hiding after saving her; otherwise, he will head to the Interchange and terminate her. After revealing her location, there’s no stopping him.

Joyce Tanner

Joyce heads over to the Interchange once Data Store Charlie is turned on, and enters the adjacent room. She initiates conversation and requests that you switch on the radio towers in Slatten Dale, Casterfell Woods, and Skethermoor. After completing this task, she’ll guide you to gather a sample of Oberon using the drill, followed by destroying the remaining stock with explosives.

If you visit the Data Store and turn on the power, not only will she ask you to create a backup of the data, but if you delete or damage the data or Oberon without first making a copy, she’ll cease her assistance. However, if you don’t initiate the Data system, she won’t require the tape from you.

Joyce has requested that you find her in Casterfell Woods by listening to a voice message she’s left in Data Store Charlie. The meeting spot is close to the Garden Centre and she wants you to bring along the Oberon Sample as a means of escape.

Lockouts

As a gamer, my main focus is on the Oberon Sample. I need to drill it out and refine it from the dig site on the left before destroying Oberon, or else she won’t lend a hand in helping me escape. The same rule applies if I possess top-secret data – if I don’t share it with her, she won’t assist me either.

Doctor Holder

Head over to the Medical Wing of the Interchange and pick up the Church Cellar Key located there. Use this key to find Doctor Holder and obtain his Experimental Vaccine. Once you’ve done that, he’ll instruct you to return to Medical to collect Sample One. Proceed further into the facility, grab Sample One from the operating theater, and then make your exit through the underground tunnels.

First, deliver Sample One to the recipient, then, if you haven’t done so, save Doctor Garrow; inform him that she is at the Interchange, and he will go there with the intention of killing her. Subsequently, he will provide you with an altered Sample One, specifically designed to eliminate Oberon.

In the fire suppressor system situated to the left of the control room, insert Sample One, followed by opening the valves on both sides of the meteorite and operating the system. This action releases the toxic substance intended to eliminate the Oberon lifeform.

Where Is Doctor Holder After Killing Oberon?

After deploying Sample One, it’s tough to locate Doctor Holder. Proceed as if you were heading towards Slatten Dale; there’ll be a confrontation between Protocol and Outlaws obstructing your path. Use explosives to create a clear path on both sides and disable the turrets, then follow the indications pointing to Medical to find ladders that will guide you back to the underground tunnels.

soldiers following protocol will now be patrolling deeper within the Interchange than previously, so remain vigilant.

Head into the tunnels and carefully navigate through the narrow, spore-laden fissure that’s straight ahead once you enter. Keep an eye out on your left side after moving past the mist, where you’ll find Holder. Engage in conversation with him to wrap up the game.

Lockouts

After liberating Doctor Garrow, accessing Holder under the church might pose some challenges due to the fact that all soldiers in Wyndham Village will view you as an enemy. Brace yourself for potential confrontations on your path to him.

Mother Jago

If you manage to find Mother Jago’s lost book in Casterfell Woods, she’ll reward you with a protective Offering that keeps druids from assaulting you. Once you’ve placed it on the altar at the rear of the Speaking Cave, she’ll come out to meet you afterwards.

Show curiosity about the “Voice in the Soil,” and she’ll fill you in on the “Growth Serum.” Make sure to follow Doctor Holder’s plotline, ensuring that you secure the “Growth Serum” from the Medical Tunnels as part of your escape plan once you’ve obtained Sample One.

Rather than introducing Sample One into the fire-extinguishing mechanism, activate the Power Enhancer for Oberon to boost his capabilities. Instead, you’ll encounter Protocol warriors, including Sims among them, as you navigate your escape.

Make your way to the druids’ fortress, nestled within the southwestern part of Casterfell Woods. If you’ve managed to overcome the High Priestess in the past, you can utilize the hidden back entrance that you unlocked behind her altar. Engage in conversation with Mother Jago near the Oberite Pit, and then leap into it to bring your journey to a close.

Lockouts

To gain Mother Jago’s assistance, it’s crucial to express your genuine belief in the Voice’s cause during your conversations with her. It’s fine if you engage in discussions about other topics, but please respect her faith without feigning disinterest or skepticism. Incidentally, she has no issue with you eliminating druids, should the need arise.

It’s not necessary to state the obvious, but if you eliminate any of the mentioned characters, it means you won’t be able to experience their conclusion.

Other Ending Details

The game’s epilogue will also take into account some details of how you played, specifically:

  • How many NPCs you killed, including enemies.
  • How much you spoke to characters and questioned them for details.
  • How often you answered the phone and followed the Operator’s advice.
