How To Get Cloth In Stardew Valley

As an old-timer in the world of Stardew Valley, I’ve seen my fair share of challenges and triumphs. One such challenge that always seems to crop up is the elusive quest for Cloth. This humble fabric, necessary for so many aspects of the game, can be a real thorn in one’s side if you don’t know the ropes.

In Stardew Valley, cloth is a valuable item that serves multiple essential purposes. It’s crucial for finishing one of the community center bundles, crafting clothing with Emily, and making various items and structures. However, obtaining cloth can be challenging because consistently producing it necessitates having an upgraded barn or coop. Here’s how to get your hands on some cloth.

How To Get Cloth In Stardew Valley

Cloth is manufactured by weaving wool through a loom. Wool can be obtained from two distinct animals: rabbits and sheep. At Marnie’s Ranch, both animals are priced at 8,000G. To acquire them, you need to own the deluxe version of either the coop (for rabbits) or barn (for sheep). Rabbits will produce wool every four days, while sheep can have their fur trimmed every three days, either by using shears or installing an automatic collector in the barn.

After obtaining the wool, you’ll then need to construct a loom. Looms can be built once you’ve reached Farming level 7, requiring 60 wood, 30 fiber, and a bit of pine tar. Processing the wool takes about four hours, and there’s a small chance that higher quality wool will yield two pieces of cloth rather than one.
