As a seasoned gamer with countless hours spent immersed in various virtual worlds, I must say that Disney Dreamlight Valley has truly outdone itself with this latest update. The ability to craft S’mores and Roasted Marshmallows is not just a simple addition; it’s a testament to the game’s attention to detail and understanding of its player base.
The Summer’s End celebration has made its way into Disney Dreamlight Valley, complete with campfires, marshmallows, and fresh recipes for you to delight your valley friends with! If you’re eager to discover how to acquire and utilize these tasty marshmallows in your very own valley, then you’ve come to the right place!
Where to find Marshmallows in Disney Dreamlight Valley
There are two types of marshmallows to find in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
Pink Marshmallows
You’ll discover three fresh marshmallow plants bearing pink marshmallows scattered throughout your valley. It seems that many players have been locating their marshmallow plants in the Plaza, as this area typically hosts event bushes
Two of my shops stood side-by-side with Scrooge’s store, and a third was near my residence, however, there isn’t much room in my Plaza for them to be located anywhere else
Scour the area for lush green shrubs that seem to bear clusters of three marshmallows. Although it may appear decorative, each time you pick a Marshmallow bush in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you’ll receive four marshmallows. Every thirty minutes, pink marshmallows will regenerate
In Furniture Mode, you’re free to rearrange the marshmallow bushes without influencing their rate of resupply with additional marshmallows
Blue Marshmallows
Time for another round of searching for hidden items! This time though, instead of buttons, you’re after marshmallows
In your valley, tiny blue marshmallows may pop up randomly. Since they’re quite elusive due to their small size, it’s crucial that you thoroughly search every hidden corner of your valley to locate them. The good news is that they only appear outdoors, so there’s no need to enter and exit the homes of your residents
You can find Blue Marshmallows in these biomes:
- The Plaza
- The Peaceful Meadow
- Dazzle Beach
- The Forest of Valor
- The Glade of Trust
Marshmallows of a blue hue appear every half an hour, with no more than a dozen present on the ground simultaneously
If you’re having trouble locating marshmallows, here’s an idea: Take a look at all the edible items in your vicinity within the Valley. This encompasses gathering wood, crushing stones, watering mushrooms, and removing thorns. Occasionally, the Blue Marshmallows might be concealed beneath structures – I only wish GameLoft would address this issue
What recipes use Marshmallows in Disney Dreamlight Valley
On September 4, 2024, when you initially launch Disney Dreamlight Valley for the first time, you’ll discover two fresh recipes waiting in your inbox as part of the End of Summer event. These are the recipes for Roasted Marshmallows and S’mores
To make Roasted Marshmallows, you need two Pink Marshmallows and two Blue Marshmallows.
To make S’mores, you need one Pink Marshmallow, one Blue Marshmallow, and two Wheat.
It’s quite delightful that GameLoft didn’t make us learn to make marshmallows first before introducing the new recipes. The notion of finding marshmallows growing on bushes or popping up in the Valley is hilariously charming
New craftable furniture for the End of Summer event
In addition to the freshly introduced marshmallow dishes, players in Disney Dreamlight Valley can now create three unique pieces of furniture for their valley as well
- Bonfire
- Outdoor Lounge Chair
- Vintage Cooler
The End of Summer event furniture won’t show up on your crafting list like regular items do. To create these pieces, you must first have mastered the marshmallow recipes – specifically, both the Roasted Marshmallows and S’mores recipes. Successfully completing these two recipes will unlock the three new furniture items in the game
Here are the crafting requirements for each piece of furniture:
Bonfire Pit
- 15x Roasted Marshmallows
- 50x Hardwood
- 50x Stone
- 10x Coal
Outdoor Lounge Chair
- 5x Roasted Marshmallows
- 25x Fabric
- 5x Iron Ingots
Vintage Cooler
- 15x S’mores
- 5x Iron Ingots
- 100x Snowballs
New accessories in the End of Summer event
During the Final Summer Festivities, there are now two additional tasks assigned by the Royal Family. Finishing both of these tasks will earn you a pair of brand-new items for your character to sport
- Share Some Sweetness: Gift 25 Roasted Marshmallows to Villagers.
- Savor Some Sweetness: Eat 25 Roasted Marshmallows and S’mores (combined total, not each).
Completing these will get you a pair of binoculars and a hiking backpack.
From September 4th through the 26th, our “Summer’s Finale” celebration is taking place. That means there’s plenty of time left this month for you to gather those delicious marshmallows!
